The good thing about the Pinto is if it breaks down on you in the middle of winter you can just hit the back bumper with a sledge hammer to start a nice warm fire until help arrives.

4:08 the great Bob Landers for Sears. He was a popular New York City disc jockey on WNEW-AM in the early to mid 60s.

it's so sad to see those commercials for Sears and their Automotive tires and Die Hard Batteries. Today Sears is pretty much History

Yes, it is there were the go to place for lots of folks back in the 70s! They also did decent work for a chain store, which wasn't common at all back then. Diehard batteries, and Sears Duraguard tires were excellent products at very reasonable prices, and best of all 100% satisfaction guaranteed or money back! That was their policy until the early 90s or so.

The old station wagons are the prelude to the SUV . The difference is the station wagons sit low and the SUV sits up high . Almost the same gas mileage .

The Ford Pinto, unsafe at any speed. Remember Ralph Nader? My Grandmother owned one of these Four wheeled rolling fire bombs when I was a child. Pull up any rear-end collision videos on this death trap. Not pleasant. Many were burned alive as a result. Both in It and the vehicle that hit It.

It was really good of those people who made" Tall and Slim cigars" to say l " You don't have to inhale" to enjoy" Giving you the choice,if you don't want lung cancer you can get tongue and lip cancer too !
@Zoomer308 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I just want to smack people who claim cigars are safer than cigarettes. How the hell do you take smoke in but magically not get it in the lungs? And cigars are a lower temperature burn, which means more gunk. I don't smoke, never have, never will.
@spy48637 жыл бұрын
Likewise here! Did you ever even try smoking? I never did. My dad smoked for about 70 years. He died of emphysema-that is, COPD, but he had cancer too. But it was the emphysema that actually killed him, not the cancer. He smoked around us kids too. For years I thought the claims about second-hand smoke were just fear tactics until I realized that I get bronchitis two to three times a year-much more often than the average person. That's when I realized that it was probably due to second-hand smoke. I never said anything about it to my dad, of course, because I didn't want him to feel guilty.
