One thing I find very interesting is that, when asked about the 'burden of expectation' put on children of famous families, JFK Jr. made a comment about the extra opportunities that those children have. He understood the privilege he was born into. And he didn't take himself as seriously as he might have. I really admire that. A lovely man indeed...

This could be why my friend's father, never allowed my friend to even get into the same business. His father had all his associates, and even competitors not allow his son into the same business. My friend got into the business anyway, and gave speeches about how his father refused to help him, but he made it anyway. Then he bought out his father's business with his father laughing about how "I'm gonna sell it to the competition, and not you." My friend won the bidding war for the company. We always thought his dad was a jerk for not wanting him to be a contractor, that he must just be the dumb son, not even good enough to be in the industry.

He always comes across in interviews as a gentleman in the real sense of the term. Gentle and kindly and with a modest nature. He was so good looking he attracted probably too many women and not necessarily all of the kind best suited to him. The happiness Walters refers to in his marriage has been contradicted by more than one thing I've read. Ultimately, the loss of this Son of America was a painful thing not only to the nation, but to all those of us who liked and respected him.

+j flo I never thought anything was suspicious until recently. I do find this burial to be very odd. There are some good doco's on KZbin regarding an assassination and of recent I'm actually starting to believe there is some truth to it, everyone knew if John Jr ran for president he'd probably win and that was threatening especially to the Bush admin. Its worth watching it
@mrgordy19809 жыл бұрын
+Yul Hubbart Yes I agree, mother knew best. I do believe he was targeted and he was also an easy target, having his own plane made their job easier, I doubt his plane had round the clock security and it could have been tampered with by anyone especially anyone in power. Those planes virtually fly themselves, you'd have to be doing everything the wrong way to have an outcome like that

OOPs Barbara. His family did NOT call him John John. He said on video that his dad was calling him and just repeated his name (probably to get his attention) and that some journalist heard that and he was dubbed John John by the press. His family called him John. John said in his Stern interview that he only met Madonna at a party and they spoke for a couple of minutes. The relationship WAS just a rumor. Bull shit speculation -- how would his mother cope with this death if she were alive. Puleeese, Barbara. It's SO not a factor. It would be nice if here were still here doing EXACTLY what HE wanted to do (not only what others want of him).

They were wrong about a few things here: one, the magazine George was not successful, in fact it was failing at the time of his death. Furthermore, his marriage with Carolyn was also on the rocks. She was deeply unhappy living with the constant strain of the paparazzi's and she had a cocaine problem. Peter Jennings thinking that John Jr's memory would outlive Diana's is also wrong: we hear about Diana all the time, most notably just yesterday with the celebration of what would have been her 60th birthday. As for John, we never hear about him at all. He is largely forgotten. And that's because other than being the son of a President and being a heart-throb, he accomplished nothing with his life. There is no legacy.

What a lack of research and poor reporting saying that JFK Jr attended his father's funeral and stepped forward to salute his father's casket as it went by creating one of the most famous photographs/images in American history a few days shy of his 3rd birthday. His father's funeral wasn't a few days shy of John's bday, it was ON his 3rd bday, adding even more sadness to w)hat was already one of the most tragic events in our nation's history. It was very well known that after all of the events of that day (November 25, 1963) Jackie returned home to the White House and with a close group of friends and family still celebrated John's birthday with a small party....I don't know why, but her getting that wrong in this story/report really irked and annoyed me because these are extremely easy facts to look up and double check on. How did no one catch that glaring error when writing the script for the narration, when recording the narration and voice overs, or in the entire editing process! For me, after I heard that error the entire creditability for the whole story was gone for me, if they got that very simple fact completely wrong, then what else did they not check on or research properly and are completely wrong on but present it as "fact" to the American people?!?
