I lived through this hurricane with my dog wrapped in my arms in a closet and my cats hiding under the house. It was officially reclassified as a category 5 but I was in a 'no evacuation zone' so I stayed put with my animals. The house was destroyed around me but thankfully we all survived. As the eye wall of the storm passed over I really didn't think I was going to make it. I begged god to make it stop. I lost everything but was one of the lucky ones who had family and friends in the UK who raised money to get me home. This hurricane changed everything for me. Not just because I had to start again but because I saw people I worked with , had contact with and spent my daily life with witness their whole lives change within a few hours. Literally. We woke up one morning to our lovely town and then just a few hours later it was utterly destroyed, never to be the same again within our lifetimes or our grandkid's lifetimes. The trees are gone. The businesses are gone. But more than that. You go from living your lives to having no water, no power, no banks, no shops, just nothing left. Nothing. Only kind volunteers bringing you water and food and baby wipes and diapers. I will never forget families with new born's living in cars. I will never forget people like me realizing the reality for you is that you are going to live in a tent for the forseeable future because there is no accommodation available. There are still thousands of homeless children in panama city. I never want to live through something like this ever again.

You know you did not get cat 5 winds if you were in Panama City. If you were at Tyndall AFB or Mexico Beach yes. I wish I would have been in my car in Callaway so I could have seen the eye. Michael was a cool storm and I hope I get another chance.

@@markpalavosvrahotes5575 yes we did get cat 5 winds! It was reclassified up from a cat 4. 155 mile an hour winds. We were in the eye wall. If you'd ever experienced anything like that you certainly wouldn't wish to be in it. My house was destroyed while I was in it. I thought I was going to die.

For now, we don't have to worry about a spike in gas prices, since the Gulf is now clear. However, you have those bastards out there that will try to take advantage of this. Price gouging, like charging $10 for a bag of ice, plus those that set up phony charities from this. Always seems to happen.

@@markpalavosvrahotes5575 If you try chasing, don't chase a major hurricane like Michael. Or if you do, at least use some common sense and avoid the core. Then there was Opal in October of 1995. It was a category 1 Hurricane when it got to Atlanta. In Stone Mountain, we had sustained winds of 91 miles per hour with gusts of 101 mph. We had no electricity at work for eight days! We did have a generator which kept our computers and lights on, but it got so hot inside the call center that some of us developed heat exhaustion even though we were staying hydrated. It was horrible!

Please stop pumping so much co² in the air, and maybe come back to the Paris climate accord.. or you will get hammered harder and harder. we will leave you without help if you are not part of the Paris accord.

Edwin we don't need your help and we thankfully have a real President that knows climate change/global warming is a hoax to tax the working class even more.

Thank goodness the twice impeached, disgraced mobster who occupied our White House for four years is now shaking in his treasonous boots as the walls of justice are closing in on him. There's much damage to be repaired, but the USA is trying hard to recover from the Orange Ape Putin Puppet. His brain dead cult members are making it more difficult than it should be.

Finally somebody who makes sense! They say so many lives lost.... no loss that I can think of. Anyone with a brain and of value would have left a long time to ago to stay alive. Those who stayed are just idiots that needed to be wiped out anyway.

This is going to keep happening, until we all know and agree that God is a God, that no other names America can pray.... America repeat your sins have reached to heaven, and God is angry for his peoples that he loved. John 3-16. God is hands is still available to heal anyone of us. When God said let it rain ,it rain. When he say let it shine, it shine, let water flood in some areas it lol be so. There is nowhere we can skip what God plans to do.. remember at the time of Noah, sodom and Gomorrah or Jonas. God is God. Please return to God now it’s time. Why r we giving too much carrying to pets instead of saving our life in the blood of Jesus so we can all be same.. remember pharaoh he did refused to let God is people to Canaan but God showed him how grateful he is. America repent, This is a warning to America. a month ago we had hurricane Florence and now hurricane Michel..Gloro to our mighty God.... for all that read it please pray and God will show you more than what I said. Thank you and may God give us a heart to repent. Amen.
