Respectfully, I feel like we must have watched two different speeches. Some of it was well written, but virtually every other line was bumbled on delivery. Directly attacking the Supreme Court-who are prohibited by tradition from reacting, so as to uphold the perception of impartial administration of justice-felt like a line being crossed. The whole thing felt incongruous and mostly made me sad.

@FruitOfTheSpirit It's perspective I suppose. I genuinely thought POTUS admonishing the court was not only necessary but welcome. Respect and legitimacy are earned, and they've earned little to none in my eyes. They can hide away, cordoned off from the People, but at least here, for a moment, they perhaps felt the scrutiny I feel towards them. I do agree that him playing into the childish outbursts from certain attendees was not what I wanted to see, but as I understand it, some folks wish he was more forceful to the opposition. I thought this was and always will be a juvenile approach not suited for the office. Despite any and all differences, this country is special, and I say let's protect it from upheaval and continue to pursue greatness. 🇺🇸

If the border and immigration are as critical as GOP insist that it is, then refusing to accept the best deal they have had in decades is ridiculous. This is a problem Trump and the GOP want to demagogue, but not to actually fix. If they think they can do even better under a Trump presidency, then pass this law and if Trump does win, then nothing would prevent him from coming up with his own proposals for the border and immigration. GOP only say they are concerned about borders and immigration, but in fact they only care about Trump's electio, so they have been refusing to pass this law for several months so that Biden can be blamed for immigration problems. *****

Trump had things pretty stable, then biden dumped the treaty with mexico to give asylum and pushed to traffic all further in as fast as possible on his own day one- and he could stop them on his own as well. The bill only brings it down to 5K/week (not counting getaways or any saying they are under 17) with all questions having to go thru the DC courts to block any real repair of the problem. It redefines 'border patrol' as just there for making the trafficking faster

Trump cases so far: they had a case that began in saying he was guilty and where the so called victims of so called fraud testified on HIS behalf; a case where a woman insisted she was raped around 30 years ago by a guy that never went shopping alone at a time where it was always locked up and full of people, and her story was not even consistent on the YEAR to the point they agreed it was not rape, but when he repeated that fact he was ALSO fined for defamation; a case of hush money where they ALREADY had a case on it where SHE was fined and cohen found guilty of perjury; 2 J6 type cases/all the ballot cases where he was already acquitted in the impeachment and now they know even MORE about all the FBI involvement of the noninsurrection (based on the number of those indicted for insurrection); and a case where he took what he had legally set apart to take and let the FBI go thru all first (as opposed to hilary/jo who supposedly 'complied' as trying to destroy it/sending it to others/letting lawyers decide what the FBI could see), then stood on the presidential records act as strengthened by clinton and obama to give the final say of what an expresident keeps up to the expresident. MOST can readily see it is all just political lawfare-election interference, while the more they look into it the more that they have against his accusers
