Just goes to show how beautiful the old movie palaces were in all their glory unlike todays, boring monotonous, clinical auditoriums with naked screens, no masking, no curtains and zero showmanship!!!

Hello Darkvader, I totally agree with you. You and I remember when most Cinemas had a stage, Masking, Tabs and Stage Lighting

I don't think they should be allowed to stipulate that only non-English films can be shown. That must really be a death sentence for any cinema.

Hello Mike. Good to hear from you. Back in the day, when (the old) Odeon used to close a cinema and sell the building, there was often a clause saying the building could not reopen as a cinema.
