They had a 3 man team which you usually have a 2 man team. Which tells you he was high risk. 95% of most agencies will qualify for armed transport 1 or 2 times a year. Shooting at non moving paper targets. Not to disparage the DOC, the better paid and more trained cops shot one of the Corrections Officers! But, Corrections is a lower paid position and many times you get what you pay for and train for.

If Riley was at a fraternity party, he was probably drunk. That's what they do at fraternity parties! If they found his credit card on the river bank, he wasn't robbed and killed, he was just too drunk, likely stumbled again and fell into the river, and was too intoxicated to help himself out of the river, especially in a current. It's so sad, and my heart breaks for his family.
