Road rage video shows Tesla brake-checking before pickup driver opens fire

Community activists are backing a man seen on camera who opened fire at a Tesla driver during an alleged road rage incident. They insist the Tesla driver should be charged too.

Good way to stop your pursuer getting in front of you and cutting you off, though. Deliberately going slow while keeping the other party stuck behind you is a valid self-defence tactic in a road rage situation and with only a few seconds of out-of-context video we can't really judge if it was the right one to use here.

He didn't stop in the passing lane. Watch the video. He tried going right and then exiting, but the tailgater was already trying to pass him. The tesla was trying to get out of the way, but the tailgater thought he was trying to stay in front of him. Hence the idiot followed the tesla onto the exit ramp, got in front of him, and opened fire. The fact that these so-called community leaders think it's acceptable for a man to open fire because of that is apalling. I don't think the tesla driver was even trying to be a nuisance. He just happened to react in the wrong way at the wrong time, and the tailgater took it as malice.

If the Tesla did not speed up, the driver would likely have been injured or killed. If anyone is driving aggressively, do NOT engage.....DO NOT ENGAGE! That means no horn, flashing lights or anything else! I have learned the hard way to stop all that nonsense when my honking at a car that cut me off had him follow me (which I didn't realize). When I was behind another car at a stop sign, he ran up to my door and opened it to grab me. I reacted quick enough to turn into a parking lot drive way on the right and get away. Had my door been locked and he was trying to get in, I would have been within my rights to pull my gun on him. He should count his blessings that did not happen.

@@vandarkholme7759 I followed him to his home, found out he has been in trouble with the law for his hot temper in the past, and he has gone to jail for several theft charges, i wanted to file charges on him but I was running late that day. he did the same thing to me on my truck because I was trying to pass him, he pulled in front of me and braked almost to a stop, then he did it two more times and took off, I was able to follow him to his house and found out his name is Christopher Harclerode Reid, I wanted to call the police or confront him but being as I stated I was running late for a business meeting, so I wrote down his information and looked him up later that day. the truck driver on this incident was lucky he didn't end up dead due to this man's actions.

Brake-checking falls under the category of stunt driving, but so does tailgating. Thus, the driver of the pickup truck was both the instigator of the incident and the person who escalated the incident into a felony crime. He's in big trouble to put it mildly.
