Same here. My family came from Cuba legally after waiting for 7 years while being persecuted in their country. This country means so much to them and they have always respected it because of the opportunity and freedom this great country provided for them. My parents missed the land they were born in but the US became the land they loved and the US flag became their flag .

It is important to recognize that not all Mexicans should be judged by the actions of a few criminals; they do not represent us as a whole. This misrepresentation is an embarrassment to our community. We carry both the American flag and the Mexican flag in our hearts, symbolizing our pride and love for both cultures. Those who burn the American flag do not share this sentiment, and I believe they should reconsider their place in this country if they do not appreciate what it stands for.
