My family visits Mexico from time to time.. People just have to take extra precautions avoid traveling at night, dont wear jewelry or attract unnecessary attention, we drive from Los Angeles to Guadalajara..make sure you have your vehicle permits and documents in order you will be fine

So if they catch you with plates from the state of Jalisco in Michoacán be ready to get stopped by someone. That zone is in dispute by family’s from the cartel. They’ll let you go if you’re not related to anyone involved but if u act tough around them well… most likely that’ll be the last time too. Not all of the country is like this and if you’re Mexican and travel through the country you’ll know there’s places to avoid just like in LA or Chicago.
