Matthew Livelsberger, the driver of the Cybertruck that exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, previously served at Fort Liberty (formerly called Fort Bragg, renamed to Fort Liberty in 2023) in North Carolina. He was on active duty (until his death) stationed in germany and was approved for leave (for unknown reasons). This is the same military base (Fort Liberty) where Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the driver of the white truck involved in the New Orleans terrorist attack that caused 15 fatalities and 35 injuries, had also been stationed. The two individuals did overlap their military service at Fort Liberty, but it is unknown if they served in the same unit. Both individuals used the Turo app to rent their respective vehicles.

Evidently, there are photographs that show a living Livelsberger driving around in the truck. The fact that he pulled into the hotel twice makes me think he was building up the courage to kill himself, just as people that slash their wrists often have hesitation marks that precede the actual act. To me, that indicates that he was in control of the situation. As to how he shot himself before setting off the explosives, it wouldn't be too difficult to rig a deadman switch. The crudity of the explosive device might indicate that it was improvised from easily obtainable materials that wouldn't trigger any possible investigations. The guns were bought two days before the explosion, and there's a possibility he had a violent argument with his wife not long ago. This just doesn't seem to be a very sophisticated, well thought out plan to me. In my opinion, PTSD is as likely a cause as any. Of course, this doesn't explain the coincidence of the New Orleans tragedy, but there have been many more unlikely coincidences in the past. So, this may be my own conspiracy theory, but at least it doesn't fall into the zany depths of others.

If he was shot before, someone would have heard a gunshot within the 17 seconds of arriving.. but then how did it explode? Was it in a timer? And if he didn’t shoot within that 17 seconds, at what point did he shoot himself? Was the vehicle in auto pilot? My opinion, he did not shoot himself. But we need to see security camera footage at all recharge stations, to see if he was alone, we need access to the trucks internal cameras and data. As far as the dumb conspiracies, I guarantee there is no connection between himself and the man in The New Orleans incident. But I would not rule out that the incidents themselves aren’t connected.

It has been awhile since you've been working for the VA. There are no AD military being treated in the Hospitals and Clinics, however both AD military and veterans can be seen for Mental Health at the VA Vet Centers. Once in awhile I will see a "ineligible" patient flag, who show up as "Humanitarian Crisis", but are not classified as veterans. Also, occasionally, I will see "not a veteran" flag for someone who attended BCT, but was chaptered and is still eligible for Mental Health treatment. Very rare.

I believe it was suicide. My dad served in an elite branch of the army (for years) and he chose to end his life at the same age too. He was also highly decorated and held the same rank as Matthew. There were no warning signs either. It just happened out of nowhere.

Seems premature to assume someone burnt beyond recognition shot himself. No way they could determine that with certainty already. Even if he was the only one seen in the vehicle, the bullet could have came from outside. Wonder what his target was. Glad he chose not to harm others, or was prevented.

if they say he shot himself then the ballistics match relates to one of the firearms found in the truck, equally damage associated with close range, trajectory associated with self-inflicted wound and also blood spatter showing it happened before the fire. The bullet could not have come from outside simply because cctv would have picked that up. And yes, they determined that with certainty, hence the announcement.
