CAMPING in RAIN with BUSHCRAFT

A very wet wild and cold overnight tent camp by a river in heavy rain with Bruce my Border Collie and a campfire. No real bushcraft this time unless you call making a table out of stones bushcraft. Used a Hilleberg Anaris tent and a Flames Creed 4x3m camping tarp. Also a look at my upgraded Ford Ranger 4x4. Hope you enjoy. ❤️AB

I absolutely love camping in the rain. I love listening to it fall onto a tarp or tent, I find it so relaxing. Our daughter and I are going camping with the grandsons in a couple of days, it's only an overnighter and it's meant to rain but that won't stop us. So long as you can keep warm and dry or get warm and dry after being wet then all is good when camping. This tent reminds me of the little one I had for our daughters and I still use for the two older grandsons...old school with two poles and guy ropes, quick and easy to put up and still waterproof.

I genuinely feel your pain Tony, Covid really has been one of the lighter issues me and my family has endured this year. Don’t get me wrong, Covid has still been ever present. My sister and I lost our godmother to late stage oesophageal cancer and couldn’t do or see her due to covid restrictions. My aunt who is like a sister to me was eventually diagnosed with a benign brain tumour which was the size of a golf ball and she went through surgery etc. During all this I had a cycling accident whilst on holiday and broke my collar bone in two places… My mum became ill (not covid) and needed 2 courses of antibiotics to get her well again. All through this, I managed to keep it completely together, even with my broken collar bone as I needed to stay strong for everyone else during that time. What pushed me over the top was losing my amazing Jack Russell terrier to IBD a few weeks ago. I was lost and a sobbing wreck. Having a cry is a pressure release valve for al the stress and pent up emotions we need to release. To be fair it's the bravest thing to do as you’re not afraid to show your true emotions to others. At least that's my take on it. Thanks for the videos and please keep making them. :o)

They're quite an elusive species... they're becoming extinct. Get up very early like before sunrise and you eill need to cook a very nice hearty breakfast lots of bacon should help lure them in. If I was in a camp that was all fully set up, then I would love to camp in a rainstorm, however I would not enjoy having to set a camp up in one :p As for the smoke its most likely what is happening is your blocking the wind, so because there is less wind coming from where you are sitting, the wind going everywhere else is pushing it in your direction.

I understand the hurt from losing ur dad... I lost my husband at 51 yrs old on Thanksgiving 2017 out of the blue...2 months later a nephew, then another 2 months I lost a granddaughter, then my husband oldest brother cpl months after, then husbands other brother, put a dog down. Then a guy that was like a brother to me...all of this happened in 8 months... Its still hard dealing with husband death....

It's OK not to feel OK! My parents and 2 brothers passed away years ago and I still have sentimental moments. Covid has changed the world for so many people. Where one once felt lonely and heartsore every now and then, now it's a daily thing. God gave us tears of joy and tears of sorrow. Even Jesus wept. Tony, your Dad was precious to you, so remember him with tears of love ❤. We who are surviving this virus, have a roof over our head, our beloved family 👪 and 🐕 pets are truly blessed. Aw dude you make me cry sometimes. I lost my mom this January. She finally retired at the age of 84 last December then 1 week into the new year she was gone. Sometimes I have news that I want to ring her up and tell her about then I stop myself and remember oh yeah she's gone... Life is precious. Live everyday as best as you can. I watched him fall last week--scared me silly--as he hurt his shoulder and his wrist and hand! He had to go to the ER too. But he is okay, and I am thankful. He has been in pain for a few days--but doing better. I just reallize he is fragile. I feel very blessed to have him in my life.
