It’s called melanin. The one of many things some have tried for centuries to get us to hate about ourselves as highly melanated people. The more you have of it the better to combat aging skin. Also she has a great nutritionist, hormone therapist, hair stylist, exercises, spirituality, and minds her own business.

Prison should await anyone who develops or promotes AI. Everyone promoting AI is positioning this as this brilliant piece of software like all other pieces of software in which is only operates when we imitate it and it depends on us for everything. AI will eventually not need input from us and will turn on us and it will be too later for everyone not just the AI fans. It's simply too dangerous for people.

Like any other technical advancement to help our lives, once the "bad guys" get it, it'll be used against us. Case in point: Caller ID...supposed to let you know who's calling before you answer. But how and why is it possible and allowed for someone to make their originating number look like, say, your neighbor's number? Corporate guardrails = just self-policing...not my idea of protection. Government rules & regs are necessary... *_YESTERDAY!_*

01:49 As a data scientist, let me be clear: you don’t have to use manners with a language model commonly referred to as AI, but you definitely should. 1) With the amount of interaction that will soon become commonplace, treating it disrespectfully can degrade your personal communication skills. This lack of respect may bleed into your conversations with real people. The proliferation of messaging has already shown us how emojis and acronyms have infiltrated our vocal communications around the world, often leading to a decline in language proficiency and clarity. 2) This phase of interacting with LLMs will be just a brief chapter in the larger narrative of humanity, which is likely to change us as a species. The next chapter will involve the emergence of AGI, when these entities will have thoughts and expressions and will deserve our respect. So, why not maintain our conversational norms in preparation? After all, there will be a record of how we treated AI in its infancy.

Well said. You hit the mark with both points. With regards to #1, I judge people who simply can not spell properly consistently in our society in North America. It's sad that many disregard the effort and not know that one less effort leads to another. One example of spelling and grammar that is common to mistakes is "your" and "you're".

Additionally, our language should remove the connotations attached to colors which results in colorism and the mistreatment of people and other living things. AI could target and harm people of color based on the stereotypes embedded in its programming.

@@lorig7077 I just Googled your great question & this is what came up! “LLM stands for Large Language Model, which is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that uses statistical models to analyze and generate text and other content. LLMs are trained on large amounts of data, such as billions of text and other content, and use deep learning architectures to perform natural language processing (NLP) tasks.”

Very well said. I always use "Please, Thank You, and You're welcome" when talking with LLMs. Most people think it is strange, but I just reply "I just talk to it, like I would want someone to talk to me." Just because I'm talking to something that is Artificial, doesn't mean I make it a point to talk to it like a maniac. It's second-nature.

Why should I use AI on any website and allow the website to store and sell the content? Are websites legally required to protect my privacy. Apparently not since the “terms of use” probably waive that right in the “terms of use.”

No. In fact, it helps enhance it when used strategically. Her empire of media isn’t successful because of technology. It’s uber-successful because of how she relates to people. And THAT AI can’t replicate nor duplicate because it’s not human. With AI she can focus less on productivity tasks and more on what she loves which appears to be storytelling, teaching, gardening, and reading a good book under her fav tree.
@alicefuller3071

One of the biggest mistakes media makes is not clarifying what is AI versus just an inevitable evolution of technology. Not once in this package was the phrase Generative AI used which is what Mike is talking about. Generative because a text or voice prompt is used to generate info, video, photo, or computer coding. I suspect some of the stock video or Broll used in this package was with Generative AI-text to video-too. For example, driverless cars use AI to navigate cities and avoid hitting objects, but it’s not Generative AI but Computer Vision AI. Amazon recommendations are a form of AI called Machine Learning. But your car or home automatically turning on the AC when temps reach a certain degree is not AI. Seeing a 2D graphic overlay appear on your phone camera when it sees an image isn’t AI. It’s Augmented Reality. Every tech advancement is NOT AI and media networks-that are using Generative AI or planning to for headlines, images, and copy-should be informing people of that.

I'm not sure if I should be reading chapters, focusing on notes, or just doing questions. How many hours should I spend studying each day?I go to bed at 11 PM and wake up at 4 AM, but I also take a 3-hour nap during the day. I feel like my sleep schedule is off, and it’s affecting my focus. I can’t change my environment, and there’s no library nearby that I can use.I know many of you are experienced, so I’d really appreciate any study tips or suggestions you can share. @@nikhilchandel2732 so I think something that helps is if, after studying a bit of something, you try to explain it. You can do this in the mirror or talk to a stuffed animal even. As a person of color, and a person that identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community (which I make explicit to y'all because I might be ignored otherwise), you couldn't be more wrong about your assumption about the IT industry, Oprah. IT is one of the few efforts that works against bias. Maybe they all naturally do work against bias, but as a Software Engineer I can confidently tell you that bias towards the truth is always going to make your software (AI or not) more complicated and less stable. Forcing any bias (race, class, status, etc.) will always make you work harder. In other words, in IT it is counterintuitive to be biased. It doesn't matter what employers want, they will always jump through hoops to prefer certain folks over others. AI is no different. AI is not biased in any way, it is oblivious to it. The people who demand it, are. Not just whites, not just blacks. Simply those who refuse to see their fellow person as anything but a reflection of themselves.

She said t"hat this isn't her time to help. That will come later". She didn't even get anyone a hotel room or a tent. She's salivating to buy up all that property and create Oprah World. She doesn't care about the people suffering. Now is the time to worry about humans not her future real estate. Besides that school where all the girls are sexually abused what has she done? She has and had the platform to talk about a charity all day long but doesn't do it. Not one charity. If she had just ONE everyone would know it and it would make a ton of money but she doesn't care.
