Oh stfu. Everyone on Earth knows that she was the mastermind behind the attack. It's so easy to spot a liar. She failed the lie detector test, and Jeff Gillooly passed his lie detector test---->his accusation that his ex-wife Tonya Harding had a hand in the plot to attack Nancy. He passed, Tonya failed. But never mind the test, all of her blatant lying was blurted out impulsively in complete Tonya Harding fashion when she was caught out in something. Her bullshit answers to questions which she couldn't answer were laughable and so obviously made up. Everything she said were typical answers that women make when they're lying. Like: "Oh I couldn't report Jeff because he threatened to kill me." Do you know how many guilty women have used that one? It's a statement innocent people never use. I mean, come on!

I’m sympathetic to both women. People need to stop acting like they need to choose sides. You can feel for tonya and all of her hardships growing up and during her marriage without making it seem like Nancy is over dramatic for being attacked. Even if she didn’t break anything, it is still scary to be attacked at practice. That’s not something you just “get over”. They have both been victimized and people need to not pit these two women against each other. They’ve been compared since being on their Olympic teams, they don’t need that right now as adults who have matured

You’re a victim up until you victimize someone else. Tonya only deserved sympathy up until she conspired against her skating mate. She could’ve told her to be careful, she could’ve told a coach, made an anonymous phone call to police but she just stood by and let it happen. If a child/teen is raped we feel sorry for them but once they rape another child when they become an adult we no longer look at them as victims or survivors; this is that she was a victim until she victimized someone else. Also you can never forget trauma, she could’ve never been attacked before and had a great childhood, a big change like that would rattle anyone, she can speak up on her pain for the situation as long as she wants.

I always felt bad for Tonya,becuz it must of been way harder on her to have to deal with all the media,people and her name and career being tarnished over something she was 'allegedly' apart of,and for her to be banned from something she absolutely loved doing and was very talented at,which was to skate.. we don't know what exactly happened,but Nancy came out fine(I'm talking about her life long after the incident)compared to Tonya..which this scandal obviously had a huge negative effect on her life.. people were quick to hate on Tonya without even knowing what the heck even happened.. but glad Tonya got to have a movie on her perspective side of the story and what she's been through..

Here's a story about Nancy Kerrigan that I had almost forgotten. After the Olympics where the career progression for the best skaters (usually medal winners) is to sign a contract with the Ice Capades and do shows where they skate and frolic with all the Disney characters - Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Snow White and the like, Nancy was riding in a parade with one or more of those characters at Walt Disney World, when she was caught on camera saying, ' *This is corny, so dumb, I hate it* .' Disney was paying her about $2 million to promote their brand. She's not the smartest girl I thought at the time.

Also, just to be certain that I hadn't recalled incorrectly, I searched for those recorded apologies and found a couple of interviews wherein she did, indeed, apologize.... Nancy Kerrigan did not deserve what happened to her, at all. I also believe, wholeheartedly, that Tonya Harding did not deserve the judgement and contempt that ensued following this event either. It is possible that I have a soft spot for miss Harding, for the backlash that followed the attack, but it became clear to me at the time, and afterwards, that there was no involvement on her part. I disagree about Tonya not being remembered. Tonya was the first American woman to ever land the triple axel. To this day, only twelve women have done so, and Tonya's 3A was unarguably one of the highest in height, and she landed two in a single competition. im gonna go ahead and say it. she does NOT seem rude, stuck up, or disingenuous. listen to every one of her answers on anything on Tonya, and she's outright stating "idk, it really doesn't matter at this point". if anything, the interviewer's milking this, and Nancy's clearly uncomfortable - just as Tonya would be. it's old, personal, rotten news. both of them are way over this. they've taken every chance they got to make that clear. i rlly dont think we should paint either of them as good guy/bad guy. not from a film. not from youtube comments under clickbait titles. not from a girl's reaction to an olympic silver. they are their own people. and the press is just as digusting and exploitative as it was back then.

Something I noticed about this video's title only after 2 thirds of my way through the video is that it created this negative bias towards Nancy. The title suggests that Nancy is expecting an apology from Tonya as if shes entitled to it, and I can tell a lot of negative comments towards her in the video are responding to that assumption. But in the video when the interviewer is asking her if she ever received an apology, she just responds by saying, "not a direct one, but does it matter?" The way she answered that question was in a manner that made it obvious she didn't think it was a big deal or didn't even ask for an apology. This along with the fact that the interviewer brings up another negative assumption about her: that she was only famous for the notoriety of her attack, which shouldn't even be brought up because it's obvious that having multiple Olympic medals would make you famous either way. Seeing it from her point of view, just being asked these things would be pretty annoying, especially if a question that wasn't even brought up by you in an interview was clearly framed as a misleading title of an video without context. Stuff like this makes me lose respect for some interviewers, they disregard other people's respect so that they can create a little bit more controversy for their content.
@aldcbossladies44624 жыл бұрын
Everyone is negative towards Nancy because Tonya apologized to Nancy face to face over 20 years ago on national television. People dislike Nancy because while everyone else involved has moved on and is living their best lives she's still bitching about her injury from way back in the day even though everyone paid their dues decades ago and she was still able to compete and win.

ALDC BOSS LADIES I disagree with that. Imo, apologising in front of the camera is really insincere. And to me, it's clear that she's trying her best to put the attack behind her. Children are growing up thinking it's normal now... We're literally destroying ourselves as a people, from the inside out. Lack of morals and a decent education have pretty much disappeared. Vincent Cuttolo but she gave out about oksana crying it's on camera the reason it was so infuriating was because Oksana mother had died from cancer when she was 13 and she had so much pressure on her must be in a great relief for her to win and she said later she wished her mother saw her! Keep in mind oksana was 16 and Nancy was 22 she should have acted like a grown up instead of turning her nose up at second place which is a great accomplishment. This is my opinion so if you don't agree it's fine

Vincent Cuttolo people have to wait 15 mins everyday I did at national competitions keep in mind l was 13(a couple of years ago) and I held myself high even if I was frustrated she has no excuse she got her spot on the team very easily because of the scandal she should grateful and stop acting so snobby and bitchy

What was wrong with her saying "Why me" After she was attacked? Its reasonable question. I would ask it myself.

LBF522 Agreed

She didn't say "why me" she says "why" which is completely understandable considering everything she has spent her life working towards was basically taken away
@LBF5226 жыл бұрын
I am not criticizing her for saying, "Why" just that I don't get those who criticize her for saying it.

I've met her twice. I believe she is very introverted and feels embarrassed by all of the attention she's gotten over the years.

I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd hear the words "Nancy Kerrigan" and "hardships" in the same sentence. Ever. "We went for sushi and I realized she couldn't lift the bottle of soy sauce and realized it could be an issue." This is comedy gold. LOL!!

Yeah that not being able to lift the soy sauce. Ridiculas

Yeah champ , you got a point there having won Olympic medals for your nation 👍 you surely know a thing or two about "medals" and "hardships"
@kate4th1492 жыл бұрын
She had six miscarriages.... How is that not a hardship? How is being assaulted right before the competition of a lifetime not a hardship?
