People want someone or anything to blame.........blame mother nature. Authorities and government can NOT be held to blame. This is unprecedented and all the hose companies and fire houses tapping into the water system to fight the fires would overwhelm any water system anywhere where hydrants would be weak or empty. I feel bad for all of the poor, innocent animals (and nature) harmed by the fires. It's hard to feel sympathy for the humans, when the vast majority--especially the celebrities and wealthy--have probably been contributing massively to the climate crisis that caused the fires.

Whenever there are fires, they should allow the animals to run free, instead of keeping them corraled, fenced, tethered, or caged up... because animals have their own natural instinct to run away from danger and to find a safe place, if possible.

That's because many of the houses that were burning had their own irrigation system, so many of them burning with the irrigation systems on caused the water pressure on the fire hydrants to be low. Also, the strong winds didn't allow firefighters to use their airplanes to put out the fires either.
