Mia Wasikowska on her new film Stoker

"Stoker" is a fantastic film - I've seen it multiple times, and Mia is totally brilliant and hypnotic in it. Great film.

Mia is considered one of the most brilliant actors of her generation - many critics and other actors and filmmakers have acknowledged that (that's why she gets all the work she does with master directors). This was apparent from when she was first introduced in HBO's "In Treatment" - she is a chameleon, and she also is subtle - she doesn't hit you over the head, she doesn't over act - she's naturalistic. She's more like the great french and european actresses in that way.

92ninersboy I am not a critic, I just like watching movies and analyzing them. I also like watching actors. But Mia... to me she's a bad actress, her acting doesn't seem natural and she has same face during the whole movie(s). I don't understand her phenomenon, just wanted to share my opinion. :)

Its because she isnt very intelligent. So her acting isnt over thought. She just performs. She really cute but pretty and beautiful so her performances rely alot on her face as presence. N alot of people fall for her.

@@samarthjain5015 Mia is kind of a unicorn in acting - she can completely morph from one role to another, seamlessly. Compare her appearance, voice, body language in Jane Eyre to her character in Piercing - or Crimson Peak to Maps To The Stars or Bergman Island - all completely different.

"Stoker" is a love it or hate it affair - I loved it so much I've seen it six times (I don't ever do that). Mia is totally hypnotic in it - she is an incredible actress. She is beautiful and a true chameleon in front of the camera.

"Stoker" is a fantastic film and Mia Wasikowska is mesmerizing as India Stoker. Brilliant direction, and as far as the editing, well, it's breathtakingly good - actually, awe inspiring.

There is nothing wrong with the editing lol! In fact the editing was nicely paced especially with the shower scene. The audio was nicely rich and crisp, and the transitions are beautifully rendered. That girl has no idea what she is talking about.

She's a good actress but not great and since she's not conventionally attractive (which is something I personally like about actresses) she won't exactly become really popular since in Hollywood you have to be a 10 or a really great actress like Judi Dench to be really popular.
