@veggiemonster 54 obviously we all rank each other, but as far there hasn’t been a reported incident of girls passing around actual physical rankings of guys. it’s all in their heads, they didn’t say it out to them. it’s human nature to judge appearances bc that’s what you first notice about them. but that doesn’t make it right to spread it around the school and show everyone. especially when it comes in to the hands of someone who is already insecure. if they want to judge, just keep it in their head. they don’t need to write it out and show ppl.

But just imagine, your name, at the bottom of the list. I am a girl but even if I was a guy I would be broken. Many teens have very low self-esteem and think lowly of themselves. A list made by your peers, whom you spend a lot of the schools days with, comparing you to other people in a downgrading way is horrible. Nobody should be making a list comparing other people in a downgrading way. And staying that this won’t matter after you get out of school is not true. This can inspire other kids to take action against these things. To sum it all up, don’t make a list comparing other kids to each other because it’s dumb and rude. Doesn’t matter if your a girl, guy, or whatever. Just don’t do it. Thank you for coming to my TextTalk 😗

I don't know why there is so much negativity on something so positive. These girls aren't shaming the boys, but working with them to come up with a solution and working on ways so others girls don't have to feel that objectification that they did. I don't see how this is a bad thing, people saying that girls do this too, what is your point? Say I hypothetically went to someone and I told them that I was bullied by a group of guys in middle school for my looks, I was degreated, belittled and objectified by them and they responded 'Well, girls can do that too you know!' They can, but in this situation they didn't, so what's your point?

I think hell would freeze over before I found a woman who didn't judge a guy for his looks in some way, shape or form. Such a shame this isn't brought forward as well, and how they are portraying this as a misogynistic sin is incredible misgiving. Girls can be just as judgmental if not more so. We not only take a dig at guys, and DEFINITELY other girls, one one's looks, but also personality. Give me a break. This new feminism shit is out of hand and women now a days are taking advantage of this shit movement and becoming extremally toxic and making the rest of womenkind look terrible. Such a shame.

Boys did that when I was in high school I think sophomore year. It was in chamber choir so they ended up actually rating all 14 girls and started calling us by our place number :/ so whoever was ranked in first was called one for example. It was stupid as hell and they did end up getting in trouble when our director found out (no one told on them she just overheard). they apologized and we’re all over it now but in the moment it felt so shitty.

//It's not that boys aren't allowed to have preferences, it's about not publishing that list. Keep it between the boys. Don't go up to girls and say "You're ugly." Because it's rude and demeaning. And the boys who are probably commenting have no idea what happens to girls in high school. We as a collective I guess, tend to go through a period of doubt in our appearances, we judge our self worth based on our looks, we don't need the guys help to this. These kinds of things could lead to depression or body dysmorphia. Of course men are allowed their opinions, but there is a time and place. I don't ever tell a guy I think he's ugly. I'd rather tell the guys I feel a handsome that they are. Because compliments are uplifting!! Of course women (and even men) will face adversity, but this is a volatile age for everyone. And we already have enough stress at school. No one needs more stress worrying how they look on a daily basis. This is the reason some girls wear make up!! Be part of the solution not the problem!!

Idiodyssey87 I’d be upset about being rated at all. I don’t want to be judged solely on my looks. Even if I was rated high, it would creep me out that people looked at me like that. Actually, I’d make me even more self conscious than before. Being rated low obviously sends a message of a low importance and unattractiveness. Rather not be rated.
