I'm glad Cam lived long enough to do Descendants 3- he was great and it's good we have that final piece of him. What I admire most about him is how he didn't let epilepsy stop him from living a great life, he definitely lived twenty years to the fullest and it was so nice of Disney to show tributes of him before and after the film. Cameron's death was probably the first 'Celebrity' death that got to me. I feel like it's because, I felt like I could relate to him, because of him being close to my age (I'm 15). I was about to execute my plan the day my friend sent me a text that got me sick to my stomach.. I was just so heartbroken. Still am. it’s really hard to forget and try to move on from this when you miss that person so so much :( I haven’t stopped thinking about Cameron since the tragic news of his death was announced on social media over a year ago. I never met him but I really hoped one day I would, he was the example of happiness, there was never any negative energy with him, he was so caring and sweet and young and it’s not fair how he got taken from us too soon and I can’t even begin the fathom the way his family is grieving him still, it’s been a full year since he passed and every single day I wake up and just think about him because he was more than just an actor that I watched growing up, he was so much more, he was an inspiration to so many people. I just never ever saw it coming, not in a million years did I ever think that this beautiful soul was not gonna be here anymore, like China said he isn’t gone, he is okay. All I can say now is that epilepsy is NOT a joke and it really pisses me off that people were making fun of it and making memes out of it like come on. Do you really think that will accomplish anything? no it just makes you look stupid and cold-hearted, it’s not funny and i think people should stop turning all this into their own entertainment when this is a real thing that happens to millions of people in the world, someone you know could be going through it, your best friend, your grandma, your mom or dad, your sister or brother could be going through it, any one can be right now and your going to laugh about it and make it a joke just for your own purposes. It’s still really devastating to think about how Cameron only got 20 years on this earth, there was so much more for him, he made a real difference in the world, he made sure that people all over the world had clean water to survive, he helped get homeless people off the streets so they wouldn’t die. His kindness was something that touched a lot of hearts! He is someone that millions of people will never forget, my heart still hurts and I get headaches from crying about it all the time. It’s crazy to think how he never got to get married, have children, be an uncle, a grandpa, he’ll never get to eventually meet his nieces or nephews, he never gets to see his sister getting married eventually, it’s still so unfair, he deserved so much more time, the most beautiful and kind souls are always the ones that are gone too quickly. Please be sure to tell everyone that you love them before it’s too late, love each other, do it, and be better at it! And if your ever sad don’t ever keep it bottled up inside because it tears you down even more, talk to someone, anyone, your mom, your dad, your brother, your sister, your grandma, your grandpa, your school counselor, just anyone because once you start talking about it, it gets better. Live life to the fullest and live out your dreams, like Cameron did.
