1SG if the SM does have 3 months of the nonconsecutive bad month over the 6month of a period, is the SM automatically get transitioning out of the Army? Or does it depends on the commander's aggression?

So, by reg the CDR is required to initiate separation. But it’s not automatic - (both the initiation and the separation). The Army doesn’t know 3 bad months, only the unit. And because a separation is initiated doesn’t mean that the CDR can’t recommend to retain.
