Alix Goedegebuur Ja dat viel mij ook op! Bernard heeft diep in zijn hart moeite gehad dat hij achter zijn vrouw stond. En ik denk dat hij op het balkon het heel goed besefte dat het om de koningin gaat en om haar alleen. Dat was bij prins Claus wel anders. Die lieve schat mis ik nog steeds. Ik denk vaak Beatrix (die ik nog altijd zie als mijn koningin) ze zal haar lieve man waar ze oprecht veel van hield missen, nu ze van haar welverdiende pension geniet. For many years the Royal Family only consisted of Queen Wilhelmina and Queen Mother Emma. Then when Wilhelmina married Prince Henrik there were three until Juliana came along and there were four. The Queen Mother and Prince Henrik died in the same year within six months of each other and the Royal Family was back to two. So concerned was the Dutch Government that they actually started debating having another Royal Family take over the throne should anything happen to Wilhelmina and Juliana. When Juliana married Bernhard the number rose to three again and then eventually seven as the princesses came along.

Like Andrew said lies do u honestly expect them to alow themselves to be captured by the Germans Besides Queen Wilhelmina Didn't want to flee at first she didn't want to leave eventually she agreed to get on the schip but only to go to Zeeland where dutch troops where still holding When they where almost there the captain told her it was to dangerous to go to Zeeland To wich the Queen Responded then we wil go back To wich the captain replied that that was not safe anymore either The captain then suggested to set sail to England to wich she eventually reluctantly agreed to She didn't want to leave Palace noordeinde and when she got on that schip she expected to go to Zeeland not England
