Fun fact: The reason why Frankenstein’s Monster in the movies is green is because the filmmakers wanted him to look pale and inhuman in the original movie, and to get that effect on-film they just painted the actor green.

It you haven't seen it already, I recommend watching "Hadestown". It is a sing-throw musical and it is so good. I love it so much I can't recommend it enough. It tells the story of Orpheus and Eurydice and the actor who plays Hades has a deep voice.

Hadestown is so good aaaaa!! despite finding it relatively recently, Road to hell and Way down Hadestown (aswell as it's reprise) have got me through a lot and they still absolutely slap. So excited to find someone who loves Hadestown as much as me!

The best part about you making Lydia's undertones purple is the name connection to purple! Although the name itself is just a Bronze age civilization, there is a biblical Lydia who was a dealer of purple cloth. Hence one of my favorite colors always being purple :)

I personally prefferred having Viktor with his glasses on as hiding the eyes creates a distance between the viewer and Viktor and makes him seem less human since humans are hard wired to look for faces and specifically eyes

Legitimately I _NEED_ an audition cut for These Hands to exist. And for Birth to My Creation. And probably also most of the other solos, too. From the reactions I've had to just singing a song from the musical Wonderland, I can imagine it'd be refreshing for community theater staff to hear a song from Frankenstein out of nowhere in the middle of a sea of Disney, well-known musicals from the 80's, and whatever shows are having their moment in the spotlight right now.

It's almost like it's fixed in space and he's hanging on to it, not realizing that when he brings it down, he's going to fall. It's an amazing piece of art.

TGWDLM ended up being my favorite more recent Starkid show. It's got a really tight, good-paced plot, great music, and sympathetic characters who have real stakes in the outcomes of their actions. Plus, like, Robert Manion's literal "Show Stopping Number" is incredible. Five o' clock can't come soon enough!

So, I went and saw Beetlejuice on Broadway (pre-pandemic) and I will admit it was one of the best shows I have seen (and my first official broadway show-). Alex Brightman, who plays Beetlejuice, interacted with the audience a lot and was so hilarious without really even trying. It was probably the best birthday present ever.

I love this so much but specifically the Frankenstein art. I had first listened to the Frankenstein musical in January 2017 and for a long time I felt I was alone in being a fan of it, so when The Animatic came out and everyone started to find the musical I was extremely overjoyed and oh boy now I get to see some of my favorite artists draw Frankenstein content because of listening to the musical and it makes my little heart so happy. As someone who actually takes part in musical theatre whenever the chance arises, yes. Deep voices are not very commonly used, especially in main roles. I've only been in two where a deep voice was actually utilized. The first was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, where we had a baritone (I believe. He could've been a bass) do an undertone 'oomba-doomba-do" in 'Song of the King.' The second time was in Finding Nemo: The Musical, where Bruce was played by (the same, actually) baritone. And thank you so much for being accurate with Frankenstein. He may not have been a monster physically, but he did abandon the 'child' he created and brought pretty much all the tragedy upon himself. I'm listening to 'Birth to my Creation' right now, actually. I love your Victor design. He's cute, and perfectly executed.

After this video KZbin recommended me a Frankenstein animatic and wow this is right up my alley! I am a sucker for the style this musical was composed in and the cast recording is brilliant. Thanks for this, once again :D
