I used to think the inside of the human body was extremely delicate until I saw these surgery videos where surgeons are squeezing and pulling and yanking at our insides.

i was conscious during my surgery (but too sedated to care) and i could feel them pulling and yanking like there is no tomorrow 😬 at one point i said i felt something heavy on my chest and they casually said oh sorry we put your tumor here

@@lffy2630 they try to avoid major arteries and veins and use some device that has a hot end so as to cut the skin or muscle and seal the blood vessels by the heat simultaneously

I just had a tiny umbilical hernia repair done laparoscopically and after surgery the pain was insane...this person is cut wide open I can’t even imagine the recovery pains

This was awesome to watch. I have abdominal wall endometriosis and am having surgery for it. I hope my surgeon can do a phannenstiel incision and remove the extra skin while doing the surgery.

hey what is abdominal wall endometriosis and how did you get that? does it cause pain? I have chronic pain from previous surgery and not sure now if its nerve damage or muscle

What kind of scaring does the patient have afterwards? Also, with all the negative outcomes of using mesh, do you feel it is safe to use still in patients? Is there a way to stich the stomach muscles without mesh?

I've got a question, if someone was wanting to go into medicine, how would they get used to seeing this kind of stuff? I'm not one to get anxious or pass out over blood and guts, but I'm still curious as to how medics get used to this.

❤ Idk who this patient is but, I hope she's doing okay. I'm really sorry to hear about the Hernia. She made me think of my Mom, I can't remember if she had a Hernia or not. I DO know she had her gallbladder removed a very long time ago. Ironically, we both have acid reflux, though it's under control thanks to probiotics. (Which I highly recommend it to anybody with stomach issues). Very informative video btw. 👍

yes that is fat (adipose) tissue. the muscle is the smooth pink. (nursing student here!!)
