Douniéma est un mélange original de chanson française et d'afro-pop appuyé sur des rythmes mandingues et issus du maloya réunionnais. Chantées en Soussou et en Français, les paroles nous rappellent la nécessité de pardonner pour avancer dans la vie. Le morceau est enrichi par la voix profonde de Gabi Hartmann, complice musicale d'Abdoulaye depuis bon nombre d'années, et par les sons clairs et aériens de la flûte peule jouée par Dramane "Popimane" Dembélé.
Douniéma is an original mix of chanson française and afro-pop combining Mandinka and Maloya rhythms. Sung in Susu and French, the lyrics remind us of the need to forgive in order to move forward in life. The song is enriched by the profound voice of Gabi Hartmann, Abdoulaye's long time friend and musical associate, and also by the bright and airy sounds of the Fulani flute played by Dramane "Popimane" Dembélé.
