Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words, Deborah! In case you haven't seen them already, the filmmaker who made this, Flavio Azm Rassekh, has created other short films you may like. Flavio brought us the 'Hope From Iran' trilogy, which you can watch here: kzbin.info/aero/PLePDtgwcyKAQwCyQX7CgviKFOMFu-fyKw He also created 'Breaking the Chains: The Story of the Girls Schools in Iran', an animation about the historical role Baha’is played in bringing education to girls in 1900s Iran: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKbSqGZqobace9U

"I am walking in my chosen highway; I know the destination." Jesus Christ says: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

"Hundreds of Titanics may sink to the bottom of the sea... all these will not change my purpose, will not disturb me in the least". Some 1,500 people died on the Titanic. Multiply that by "hundreds", and it isn't a cause for being disturbed "in the least"?
@josephcampbell17093 жыл бұрын
I think Abdu’l-Bahá’s quote refers to His purpose, not being shaken or affected by heart breaking tragedies like the sinking of the Titanic.
@gorgzilla17123 жыл бұрын
Also, considering he narrowly avoided being on the Titanic when it sank, he was personally disturbed most likely by how close he came to death. He was scheduled to take the Titanic to America but he took another ship instead.

@Helen I think I got the "point"... the deaths of countless people "will not disturb me in the least". Who would say such a thing?
@c.a.t.7323 жыл бұрын
@Helen I watched it again, and my point stands. Abdul'-Baha not being disturbed "in the least" by the massive loss of life he describes is not a pretty picture, and I don't think watching it 11 or a hundred times will change that. This is not the only place in the Baha'i writings where I get the sense that human beings are ultimately just grist for God's mill.
