As a 5th year Computer Science student, I've watched hundreds of tutorials. This is the first time I'm commenting an a video. I'm blown away of your way of explaining topics from start to finish. This didn't feel like a lecture at all. I was actually having FUN while watching your video and learning about indexing etc. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication! You are a true talent. Not many have the "gift" of being that good in teaching other people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! He is unequivocally one of the best teachers I've ever seen. His teaching skills can be considered as a benchmark in computing fundamentals. Whenever he explains something, he takes as step by step approach. For instance, in this video, he explained why we need to have a multi-level tree, m-way trees, and then b-trees, etc. If we study in this way, it's easy to remember things, as we can always go back in mind and recall why this thing was created. Also, I loved the pace at which he explains, not too slow or fast. He makes sure to re-iterate important things. In short, I am truly impressed by his skills. Thanks a lot, sir 😀

Sir, why do we need to search in 5 blocks for accessing a record? We have 4 blocks for the index file, and as index files are always sorted then we can apply binary search on the blocks for finding our desired block, so *_log(base 2)n + 1(for accessing the block in the disk)_* [n is the number of blocks] should be required na? i.e. log(base2) 4 +1 = 3 block access are enough to find a block.

But are block always contagiously stored ? If not how will we implement binary search in separated address blocks , do we need to make a new index to implement binary search??
