Your common sense solution is what I have been wanting ever since that Karen was doing all that touching and acting as if she owned the horse and the entire palace! The one mainly that had the pink head scarf on. She came on several occasions though and wore different colours of head scarves, but the most famous one was the pink. So glad they have the rule now of no touching the horse.

This is how I see things. Perfectly gentle well behaved horses come to the Horseguards and within days of being exposed to people’s behavior start nipping, pushing people, and kicking off. My conclusions, it’s the humans’ fault and it’s known as abuse and bullying. They can call it anything they want, but when you watch these people crowd in on all sides so that the animal is trapped and multiple hands are grabbing at it. What do you call it?

This is a perfect description of the situation! The only thing I'd like to add is that I don't understand all the people who become 'gravely offended' at any suggestion that the horses are being mistreated. The truth of the matter is that the tourists are treating the horses terribly and it's being allowed. It doesn't matter how well taken care of the horses are, since they're allowed to be subjected to 'this' at the same time. It's a subject that gets commenters really riled up and I'm sorry about that, but the facts are the facts. Forgot to mention that the constant head bobbing by some of the horses can be a symptom of anxiety and aggravation.
