the abes are really head and shoulders above the rest... i think at this point its like going against sohei ono.. its really psychological you must have confidence you can actually win and not just go to the match with the thought you will prob lose and will just try to make it not easy

That last O-Soto with the 2 sleeve grip against FRA was powerful. An attacker gets thrown with that on the street and its Lights Out… 😬

when abe did the osoto gari on mayabmunkh at 2:40 why was it not considered a head dive defend for bayabmunkh?
@startjamming7 ай бұрын
It was unintentional and definitely not a defend attempt, in my opinion

3:25 ehh the gi can be pretty deceptive in distorting the judoka's size.

@@JudoHighlights2015the weighing rules are strict, so I’m sure both of the judoka are at their weigh limit with the +5% before match starts
@JudoHighlights20156 ай бұрын
@@VintageWZM-dr5dt the rule is 5%, but they can play with it. Basically they have to keep their weight low in case they get called again for the 5% check. There's a time that it happens and they only refuel a little bit around this time. After they get the OK, they start eating. Tsunoda mentioned this on her KZbin channel.

@@JudoHighlights2015there’s still a limit to how much water you can gain back. I’m sure all world class athletes stick to the limit. So weight difference-wise shouldn’t be big. Abe is exceptionally big at his shoulders so his frame looks bigger, but he have a pretty small thighs for a guy, genetics and strength definitely did play a part considering his family tree (uncle being Olympic medalist) is insane at judo.

Not saying they would be losing but their undefeated Streak is not very impressive because they don't compete at international tournaments often
@64wy4x8s7 ай бұрын
Exactly, some judokas like Wang Ki Chun or Kim Jae Bum competed really often, about 5~6 tournaments per year and built up long impressive unbeaten streaks. Different from only competing 1 or 2 times per year.
