Bonnie a note that something happened to me a few years back. I was trying a new cleaner (Simple Green) I sprayed it on my range hood and it bubbled up the paint and I was like crazy. I did not read about the cleaner and I had no idea that could happen I am just glad it was my range hood and not someone else's.
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp5 ай бұрын
Really?! I always thought Simple Green was a cleaner you could use almost anywhere. I've never actually purchased any myself. I've only used it on occasion when the homeowner has a bottle and I always like to try new cleaners. Maybe there are different strengths. I think the kind I've used was actually an all-purpose cleaner. I wonder if the kind you used was more of an industrial strength type of stuff. But that's very interesting.
@1954evelyn5 ай бұрын
@@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp It very well could have been an industrial strength. I had it in a gallon jug and poured it in a spray bottle. I was so upset I have not used it again though just in case. But I will never forget when I sprayed it on and went back and the paint was bubbling I replaced the range hood later and I am really careful with what I use on it.

I've noticed that both you and Ol' Johnny at MMC appear to wash dishes backwards to the way I always have. I wash dishes from the left sink rinse in the right and set them to dry on the counter to my far right but you both seem to go in the opposite direction. I wonder if I'm the only one who does this and if it is because I'm left-handed. Looking forward to your collaboration next month with MMC & Barbie. 🤩
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp Жыл бұрын
Lol! So I can't speak for Ol'Johnny,😂 but I know the deciding factor in that for me is which side of the sink has the garbage disposal, and it differs from house to house. In my house, it is on the right side and that is where you would wash the dishes so that all of the food that comes off goes down the garbage disposal. But if you don't have a garbage disposal on either side, I also would probably start from the left, rinse on the right, and put them to dry on the right. Does that make sense? Do you have a garbage disposal?

I forgot to mention in the video that I left the grates in a garbage bag with oven cleaner on them because they had really burned on stuff, so I just let them know to rinse them off the next day after they sat overnight. The oven filters are very important. They keep all that grease from ending up in the vent and causing grease fires. The filters need to be cleaned regularly to work properly. If you do it, say once a week, you can run them through the dishwasher. Not recommended if they are really greasy though.

The metal mesh rectangles are the filters for the over the range exhaust fans. The cabinet for trash is a trash can cabinet. I however, am wondering where the burner covers are for the stove, and why you don’t show yourself wiping down the outside of the cabinets, wiping outside the fridge and inside the fridge and sweeping and washing the floor? When you show your last picture, there are no burner covers on the range top.
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp Жыл бұрын
I totally forgot to mention that I left the burner covers in a garbage bag with oven cleaner on them to sit overnight as they needed more time to let the cleaner work on all the burnt on stuff and I just told the homeowner to rinse them off in the morning. I showed some of the cabinets being cleaned, but not all of them, and then I lost some of the footage on one of the devices I was recording with because it ran out of batteries while I was recording (thought I had it plugged in), but I think some of that footage was of the floor.

The beauty of cast iron is that all you need to do it scrape it out and wipe it with some paper towels. If it's really greasy, I run it under really hot water to dissolve the grease. If you do ever use soap on it, your food will get a soapy flavor.
