Calvary greetings , just to clear my mind concerning this . As believers we are to compliment,not to compete or show who preach most ..every man has his own gifting , one can be a good preacher ,not a good teacher etc.. As a believer we are not to judge people .. Do I believe in Dr Abel's teachings ? 90percent No! . Not because of any favorite teaching elsewhere ,but because of my own encounter and understanding of the word .. I believe God still uses him to make people like me ,go to study the word deeply for ourselves; apart from what we were taught or heard in years past.. There are few of his teachings my spirit agrees with ,though I have issue of the way he puts it and not balancing it ,which brings confusion to the body of Christ.. like the statement, "the Bible is not the word of God ,but the word of God is the person of Jesus ; and the word became flesh ". this words sounds revelational,but becomes an issue to the body of Christ . The term translated “Word” is logos, which basically means “the expression of a thought.” Logos can be thought of as the total message of God to man (Acts 11:1; 1 Thessalonians 2:13). Jesus embodied that total message, and that is why He is called the “Logos,” or “Word,” of God (Colossians 1:19; 2:9). Jesus showed a link between the written Word of God and Himself, in that He is the subject of the written Word: “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me” (John 5:39). When Jesus Christ was tempted by Satan ,He didn't just present himself ,but quoted the Bible ( written word ).. So the Bible is the word of God ,which we must study and transcend it to becoming part of us ,which is becoming flesh .. My spirit disagrees with teachings like ; once save forever save concept , God didn't tell naoh to build an ark , communion is the word and not an act , there is nothing like drawing back and so many more .. I have taking time to study them even after these teachings to see if I can unlearn to relearn 😂, but at the end i discover it's not corresponding to the written word ..like I would always say,be careful what you unlearn, you might be unlearning the right thing to relearn the wrong ,just because you ain't sure of what you learnt before .. Example , God didn't tell naoh to build an ark! But we see in Gen 6:13 13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. [14] Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. Now he uses the new testament Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Just because it wasn't mentioned directly here in Heb that God had told naoh to build ,doesn't mean naoh built on his own .. this was just a summary of what took place in Gen, and for the fact God appeared to him ,there is an instruction given him ,which he carried out in faith and fear(reverence ) Same to Abraham , in Heb 11:8 he didn't just seat down and have faith by leaving his father's house ,but it was in obedience to instruction ... So ,that teaching and revelation is controversial .. - now in passover night, Jesus did a very significant art; breaking of bread ,and proclaimed this is my body ! ,same to the wine he poured ,this is my blood ! ,and gave instruction ,do this in remembrance of me ,until I come .. Paul , also confirm this very act in 1 Corin 11 ; 17-34 Paul dealt with the wrong manner by which the communion is taken; how some come to eat and drink it as food ,and come unprepared to take it etc.. which is the main problem in today's churches .. but Paul by revelation from God ,not of man according to Gal 1:11-12 Gave the instruction on how to take the communion.. This is in remembrance of the death and resurrection power of Christ at the cross.. Many lives can testify of great miracle encountered genuinely engaging in this very act .. But in one of Dr Abel's teaching against it ,he made a mockery against Paul ,saying Paul must have read it in Luke ,and he is just repeating it in 1corin 😂, and that what God asked us to do often there is study the word !. Well,I will say that's controversial to the word of God and body of Christ .. The concept of once save forever save : there is fact in it but not entirely the truth according to scriptures ., it's the fact that nothing can make you loss salvation ; if you are rightly connected to the vine which is Christ ,the devil can't plug you out of it ,but the truth according to scriptures is ,only God can plug one out .. Just like the verse the man asked Dr Abel ,and he answered by saying Jesus Christ somehow will look for a way to keep the person.. In as much as I know God to be a loving father , who has given us a greater grace in the person of Jesus Christ , he doesn't control our will power .. Which was why Christ told his disciples , to dust their feet of any land or house who doesn't accept the word .. Now ,Heb 10:26New Living Translation Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins Matthew 24 (KJV) 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I think Dr Damina is right "to a point". I think what Dr Joshua Telena is right. Dr Damima's message will take time to be digested. He can explain himself but can "other" explain him? He is speaking to "a generation" and if he keeps on this track without deviating, he would be understood later. But as for me, I humbly say I am not mature enough to listen to him. When he is sitting and talking to interviewers one on one..he makes biblical sense...but preaching on the altar, he commits biblical blunders. But because we have been taught for a long time that the Bible is the word of God, we want to crucify Abel for exposing this lie. *Friends, let's not forget that the Jesus that we talk about himself was very controversial, now, in John chapter 6, a crowd followed Jesus for food, then he told them, don't pursue food that will not last, but pursue food that last, then he told them, I am the bread of life, eat me, eat my flesh, and drink my blood, and live forever, the people said, this is a hard saying, so many of his followers left following him, only the 12 disciples remained. Now, see a typical Jesus, in his time, up against the top religious leaders of his time, this set of people almost made his life miserable, they were the Pharisees and the Scribes, the very custodians of the Laws of Moses, they sat in the stool of Moses, this were the very people that opposed Jesus the most, why was this so, because Jesus came with something difference, he came with the gospel of the Kingdom, he told them to change the ways of their thinking( repent) for the Kingdom of God Is at hand, Jesus was not talking to unbelievers, he was talking to the teachers of the Law, one of their top officials was Sir Nichodemus, who was called the teacher of Isreal, he did not understand simple thing as the concept of being born again in John 3, he was as confused as a baby, Jesus said to him, if am talking to you about simple knowledge and you cannot comprehend, what will you do when I talk to you about heavenly things? Imagine what blow it was to this set of people when he told them, except you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no part in me, everyone left, even the 12 Apostles that stayed l, they did not understand what he meant back then, but they trusted him and stayed, it was when the Holy Spirit came that he explained to them everything that Jesus had been saying to them( as Jesus promised would happen). Futhermore, why did this Pharisees and Scribes really hate Jesus for what he taught? Which was the truth, if they truly understood what they read in the Scriptures, and knew that the prophets prophesied about a coming Messiah, beginning from Moses, God had earlier shown it to Abraham our father, In a vision, about the promised seed which was Christ, as seen in Galatians 3, many of the prophets as inspired by God prophesied of this same event, and this events were slowly unfolding before their very eyes but they( the Religious people- Pharisee and the Scribes) were blinded to see, they were carnal and fleshy, earthly minded, their fathers succeeded in killing so many of this prophets in their wicked and crucked hearts and they with all the Laws they knew tried so many times to kill their promised Messiah, because he was not in sync with their ideologies. That's why in John 5, Jesus told them, you search the scriptures, you are busy looking for eternal life, but you have never believed in God, because you don't believe in the one he sent, this scriptures have been talking about me, because your ways of reasoning is in complete opposition to my ways of doing things, and you don't want anyone to stand in your way, and oppose the seeming authority you think you have. Why didn't these set of religious leaders recognize the living Word standing before them so simple and nothing like them? Maybe he did not meet their definition of standard, infact, he(Jesus) bashed them for wanting praise from men,they thought that he will come in kingly robe arrayed in gold, maybe from a royal family etc But this guy was a carpenter's son for crying out loud! Jesus told them that it is not him that will accuse them before his father, that the one that will accuse them is the very Moses they thought they were standing in for, because truly, they did not believe even Moses and what he had written. Now, the puzzle according to the 2 Cori thians is that there is a veil that covers the eyes of people when they read the scriptures without the lens of the Spirit. One of Jesus' disciples denied Jesus 3 times in the presence of the people, but when the Spirit came on them they were transformed sets of people, and then this same set of people could joyously go to their death without fear or regrets, they were glad to be **_counted_** worthy of suffering for Christ, that is the power of the Spirit.*
