Abel is 100% right. It's not easy. Years back I really loved script writing and I had a 🔥script. I remember sending many proposals and approaching various people to invest in it. I wanted to make a movie. Funny enough, most of the feedback I got was that my script was too big to be done in Kenya and they did not want to spend a lot of money. On several occasions, I was asked why I was wasting time with the Kenyan Film Industry yet the industry is broke, lacked creativity and the content was not up to date. They basically trashed the film industry in Kenya. The script gained interest from three international script writers and filmmakers but they basically wanted to buy the script. I ended up shelving it because my desire wasn't to sell the script. I wanted to be a key part of producing that film. Sadly, I lost interest in something I was once passionate about.
