Abel Reels - From the Factory to the Field

Over the past 50 years I have purchased many fly reels from most every manufacturer that has made them . Of all the reels I own I have to say the Able is hands down my favorite. The fit and finish is superb the drag systems can stop a truck , one feature that I like in particular is the customization of the colors that you can have anodized on the reels . Of the six Ables I own only one is black the rest you have done for me are color combinations I picked and are just beautiful. The one I get the most comments on is the 50th anniversary Grateful Dead edition , the workmanship is unbelievable . I hope you can keep making great reels for as long as I keep fishing :-)

Maybe good and nice reels. But really bad bad customer service. Ordered a reel (custom made) nearly 10 months (!) ago. Not delivered until today. If you ask for information you don't even get an answer. Really poor....
