There are also references embedded in the names of characters themselves: - Tom Kazansky (Wraith hero) is a character in the movie Top Gun - Gui Montag (Firebat hero) is a reference to Guy Montag, the protagonist of Ray Bradbury's novel Fahrenheit 451 - The protoss units and titles are not really "pop culture" references but rather historical references. "Archon" means "Ruler" in Greek, and was the title of a public official in Athens. "Praetor" was the title of a public Roman official. "Templar" is a rather obvious reference to the Knights Templar. I remember reading across many forums and how they wanted to have Zerg buildings attached to creep, and have what they do in sc2. Zerg move and attack faster on creep, slower without. But due to time constraints and being unable to find suitable ways to balance creep buildings, producing lots of creep. But finding it near impossible. Due to testers focusing on creep colony's, effectively crippling and making zerg the weakest in the game. So they scrapped that project until later. I am more then likely wrong, maybe mis-remembering. Who knows. I just remember reading this across a few forums years, years ago. When I was a teenager, in the infancy of the internet. No. It is an abbreviation of Latin "statim" that means "immediately".

The best thing in all your videos is that you don't have a fucken 5 min intro where you both us to death explaining what you plan to do !!! Keep it like this !!

Ah back in 2000 when I was playing SC1 my English wasn't even that good, still, I collected all the quotes from the game, albeit I didn't understand more than half of them. Now that I see them again, it brings back all the fun! Thanks, Abelhawk!

Oh man, this was awesome, I remembered catching a few of them back then. I loved it when not everything was about multiplayer ironically this was one of the games that launched so strong those online battles across gamers.

Castulo Guerra voices Duran. Jason Hayes voices: Artanis, Arbiter, Firebat, Cerberus Commander (his voice is of Artanis' without the Protoss effects), Overlord (his voice mixed with Horse effects), Probe. Stukov's VA for SC1 is still unknown. Same for DuGalle. Science Vessel is voiced by Tracy W. Bush. He also did some Hydralisk sound effects. Medic - I am pretty sure Tiffany Hayes voiced this unit. The voice sounds more of her than Campbell. Pretty sure she voices the Dryads from WarCraft III as well along with the female Villagers.

Doesn't the Marine make a Full Metal Jacket reference as well? With the "this is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine".

A few of these were unknown to me. Thanks! I dunno if you've done it yet but Borderlands has soooo many pop culture references you could easily make an hour long video on them.
