Financial disparity is huge. Everything is skewed in Celtics favour. The one thing I would say about this season in particular is the unknown effect of the European games on Celtic. With a minimum of 5 more games and possibly another 2, effects on the squad with injuries is hard to predict. Aberdeen have no European football and the luxury of usually a whole week to prepare for games but a much smaller squad. Great chance for Aberdeen to finish 2nd now.

Aberdeen dominated 60 minutes out of the 90 minutes and had far more clear cut chances. They were more determined in every tackle and kept pushing forward for the winner, which again came relatively late in the game. The win is no coincidence. If I had a spare £17 Million BTW I’d retire and go on a Caribbean Cruise 🚢 😢 I sincerely hope that lightening does strike twice!

A massively entertaining game of football last night. A brilliant atmosphere all game, some great football on display and a very good pyro show pre-kickoff. We dominated the 1st half and made it look much like a simple training exercise. Regrettably, we should’ve been at least 2-3 up at ht, and we made it harder for ourselves in the 2nd half. By and large we dominated, I’d say about 60mins of the game; however, we looked really poor at times in the 2nd half, and if we were playing a half decent team, we’d get punished for it. We can’t be perfect every week, but that 2nd half needs to be addressed. Could’ve been a case where we burst ourselves in the 1st half mixed in with them upping their game for the 2nd, but we stopped pressing and allowed them to have the freedom of the pitch. Special shoutouts to Shinnie and Nilsen, who were both absolutely immense last night. Wee Shayden was good when he came on too. The whole team was at least 8/10. I thought McGrath was below par from his usual standard last night, capped with the penalty miss, it just completely derailed all his momentum and confidence in the game. On the note of our opponents, they are utterly abysmal, with no structure, no game plan, no identity, a clueless manager, a cart horse up front, a guff left back who couldn’t defend against a paraplegic, and can only raise their game from meridocre to average at best. Tough times ahead for them, reporting a net loss of £17.2mill earlier in the week to now being 9pts behind their 2 biggest rivals. Big Phil Mitchell’s head is on the chopping block. Now on to the semi-final. It will be another very good battle between the 2 biggest and best teams in Scotland this season. Confidence is high and anything possible. Oh, it’s a good time to be an Aberdeen fan!

Shinne had one off the post which I don't recall in the highlights. Rangers had a tackle that, on viewing live, I thought was a red card. I had hoped for a VAR review, even if it upheld the decision. Similarly, I was surprised for the VAR turnover of the first rangers goal at approx 45+3 (also not in here I think?). Live, I thought he was on. Otherwise, John Beaton had a surprisingly good game. And well done VAR for the souttar handball.

It's still early in the season, so lets not get carried away. However, what Jimmy has done in a few short months, is nothing short of miraculous. I always felt that last season, we had a very good squad, we just needed a manager who knew what he was doing (Robson was a clueless idiot). We now have that Manager, and he's transformed this squad virtually over night. We've had a tremendous start, but that's all it is. We've not achieved anything yet. This was a brilliant win though, and an excellent 3 points. That's all it was. We got the same reward for this, as we've had for 8 other league games this season. COYR.
