I'd very much love to be able to buy Craigellachie 17 for under 100 euros, but in Bulgaria it is not possible. This whisky is very rarely available and costs well over 100 euros.

Interesting comparison, but some say last years Craigellachie 17 yo are less good than in the beginning (& I tried some of the beginning & like em). Anyway, the video is about Aberfeldy, and to answer you, there are great expressions from the distillery (both OB or IB), but yeah they are average ones too. I had the chance to visit the distillery & try 2 different single-casks, one bourbon & 2 sherry, and I prefered the 2 lasts. I couldn't buy the best of the two, which was sold out, the rest being reserved for the warehouse visit (a very special warehouse I have to say, with almost no full casks, but that"s another story), but the only sherried cask was still quite interesting...I also loved some Gordon & MacPhail releases a while ago, and as usual, it is a personal opinion...

Add another $40 and I might be able to buy a bottle of Craigellachie 17 in SoCal. There are too many better options out there to bother with any of the Aberfeldy core expressions.
