A lovely reminder of childhood and university life in Aber. I haven't been back for 55 years and it was fascinating to see the changes. Thank you!

I have wonderful memories of Aber in 1986 and 1987 which I look back with fondness and joy. I love you video of Aberystwyth and will keep coming to the town.

Lived there for a couple of years back in the 90s lovely to see the old place hasn't changed much. Many of good memories came flooding back especially walking past the pier where I worked.thank you.

This is magnificent, thank you so much! It's so hard to explain Aberystwyth to friends and family but this helps a lot.

Oh no!!! The Dolphin Restaurant had closed and has turned into a Starbucks. So disappointed that part of my childhood with my grandparents and my mum and dad (no longer with us) has vanished forever. I still want to live there though. Thank you for such a wonderful video.

That's sad !! I heard it was a good restaurant. Starbucks kills every small business. 💔💜🥁🐉🎤💞

@@spark_6710 As someone that dislikes huge corporations and brands clogging up the high street I dont think Starbucks can be blamed for the demise of the restaurant. The restaurant must have been struggling for them to give up the lease and then have Starbucks move in. If the locals supported local businesses more then the likes of SB wouldn’t have a chance to dominate as much as they do

@@moominmay I know ! You're right ,but here in U.S.,it's true they affected small coffee shops were family owned & they wiped 'em out !!! They couldn't compete against a big chain !! I had seen it ( I've been living here in S.Cali for 34 years !!! ) & overheard those people ,sons / dads complaining about it at cafes !! 3,4 times at least ,those were real people owned coffee shops ,they just happened to be sitting next to me by a fluke !! I heard the whole conversation at one time ,or two ,at least of one of 'em & others partially ,that occurred to me 3 times at least ( all different people !! & different years !! ) & 1 more ,I believe .Maybe just three . 1 time was women .They really killed coffee shop businesses which were privately / family owned !! The issues was ,huge corporations advertise so much that small businesses would never be able to match up with !! Then ,familiarity vs unfamiliarity. People tend to go to familar ones ,as you know ! ,so that they don't have to ask questions all the time ! And they know how much they cost/ what they get !! The convinience always wins !! Many of us tend to go to the same restaurants & keep ordering the same things !! It's so sad to see this everywhere in this world !! Nothing new !! I just wish things were / could be different !!!Thank you so much for your reply !!💜🥁🐉🎤☕️💞
