Are you worried about the unsupported part of the break opening back up? I personally have found great success with carbon fiber banding, I lathe a 3mm channel between holes and posts for the band to sit. CA glue to help tack the edge down, then 2 part epoxy between each layer. Even with a proper acetone cleaning, I’ve had concerns about relying on the CA glue alone.

Hi, I've been working with the glue for over 25 years. It is important that it is the Sicomet40. This special glue is liquid like water and hardens extremely. In addition, it has an extreme strength in the connection. No, I'm not worried that it dissolves. Also very suitable for the finest cracks in wood is that the adhesive goes deep into the pores and hardens extremly. Once a crack is glued with it, it remains closed. It is important to keep the adhesive cool and, above all, to observe the safety regulations. Sorry for my English, hope you understand.
