Hey @Abishek, At 11:01 , you use ` ssh ` to connect to the target server . However, we use `ssh -i @ ` to connect our local terminal to an aws instance. Can't we use `@` format in the first command also ? I haven't watched the entire lecture yet

As you said in this session regarding Ansible, we can use the controller machine to control worker nodes to install or create any files or software on worker nodes, and I also noticed that in your video we must save the 'Ansible Controller Key-Gen' in worker nodes.... Let me clarify my question for example, if a company has 100 worker nodes and one Ansible controller, should we save the 'KeyGen' manually for each and every 100 worker nodes so that we can control them? I'm not sure, maybe you can clarify my question for me.

HI Abhishek, As you mentioned in the video at 16:55 it is throwing error if we don't give 2 arguments -m and -a. I checked with ansible -i inventory and with ansible -i inventory all, but both of them gave me this ERROR! No argument passed to command module. ansible -i inventory all -m "shell" -a "ls" is working fine. Just for reference i am posting. Thank you very much for taking time to educate us Abhishek....It means alot to us. Keep doing Good!👍

As a practice part we are using t2.medium or t2.xlarge maximum but whats about realtime in production level of different stages. My doubt is regarding passwordless authorization, in the video we created public/private key and copied our public key to authorized keys of a worker server to connect passwordless. what if there are 1000 servers we need to configure. can you tell me how we will do that, do we need to copy public key to all 1000 severs or is there any other method? if we do like that for 1000 servers is that good practise. Please explain? thank you

The requirement is ansible server can connect to 500 target servers only after including ssh key in all 500 servers. Isn't this a tedious manual work to add generated key in all 500 target servers ? Is there a shortcut/hack for this process?

Hi @Abhishek, I have started your zero to hero course and I am currently at Day-15. Thanks for this wonderful content. But I have a doubt, I have created 2 ec2 instances as per the video and also created ssh-keygen. When you provide the command on your target_ubuntu server in the authorized_keys I do not see any content in it, but I have keys related to that server. I changed it as per your video to by copying the ssh key from ansible server to target authorized key by deleting the existing key and it worked fine. But when I try to reconnect to the target server it does not connect since the key is messed. How do I overcome this? Or what have I done wrong here?

Hi Abhishek, How to set password less authentication when user names are different. In this video both Ansible and Target Server User names are same.

Better create a user but lets say u cant do it, you can provide the username in the playbook or adhoc commands. By default, ansible tries with same user but if it is a different user, u have to mention that user explicitly.

Hi, Abhishek. When I used to paste the public key of ansible_server in authorized keys of target_server, there(In authorized keys) already a key exists(this is the access key of ec2(target_server)). I have removed the key and pasted the public key of ansible_server and I can log in to target_server through password less authentication. But, when I used to log in target_server in new terminal then it is showing server refused. Can you clarify my doubt? One more doubt, While creating target_server(EC2), we have to generate access key for that????

Hi Abhishek, You have told it is hands on session. but you have explained only how to install and start ngnix. You haven't told how to create 3 ec2 instances on AWS(Terraform), 1 instance as Master(Ansible) 2 instance as Worker(Ansible).

what if we want to create 100 new Ec2-servers that needs to be accessible by ansible server? It is not practical to login to all the 100 servers and then paste the public key of the Ansible server to the authorized list. This is where we can make use of the "user data" section to automatically create Ec2- servers which bydefault will have the key in the authorized list . An even further improvement would be to use AWS CLI / run a python script using boto 3 to create "N" number of servers and with a required user data, which being our ansible public rsa key

@@arunkumark-r7l in authorised keys folder, there were some lines already. You should not delete those and copy the public key in next line of target server authorised keys. This worked for me
