So far I’ve encountered and reported a legit cheater on ABI…it’s was lockdown TV Station. Day later that cheater got banned and I was reimbursed. Have not seen another so far yet. The anti-cheat team for ABI needs to look into Forbidden/Lockdown zones for cheaters

Anti cheat on ABI is screen watching too it like can see your screen so it’s hard for devs to make a cheat that isn’t physically visual as most cheats have menus people pull up they did it right with the anti cheat tarkov could easily implement this but they won’t

I’ll probably put easily. I don’t know 50 something hours since the last update that was not even a month ago and I’ve probably ran into 7+ cheaters you must only play normal mode in lockdown here and there because I’m running in the cheaters quite a bit No, I won’t say that it’s not better than Tarkov, but I have literally barely ever ran into a hacker in tarkov, in literally like 4 months. But I know that people have an issue with it so I’m not gonna sit here and act like it doesn’t happen. I just get super lucky. I’m assuming I don’t know.

@TruthPrevails24 I think you're getting cheated on in Tarkov and just not realizing and picking up on it. The cheating problem in EFT has always been there, and it's pretty bad. I have over 3000 hours in the game.

I'm not really into EFT so I might be out of line here, but I get the feeling the egos that come with making something as great as EFT has been the cause of the game to get to a stagnant state where the player base is up in arms against the developers on a regular basis about the same topics

There are so many non-intrusive ways to monetize-players would happily buy cosmetic items like gloves or weapon skins. But instead, they choose to add pay-to-win mechanics, prioritizing short-term profit over long-term player trust. It’s just sad to watch these greedy schemes take over, ruining what once made this games great.

I've been saying since ABI launch that yes, it SUCKS you can buy gear with real money BUT it stops people from using RMT and buying stuff from cheaters. Now cheaters have no financial incentive to cheat and only if they want to be a jerk. Does wonders in the long run.

It doesn't really suck because no weapons gear or ammo is locked behind real money. Its literally just the container and cosmetics. So considering it's a free game I have no problem with it. The lock box is kind of annoying, it'd be nice to buy it for like 1 day with in game money for like 5mil but nothing gameplay related is "pay to win"

I love this game but after I switched to PvE I'll never go back. I realized the way that I was dying playing PVP had been traumatizing forcing me to play incredibly passive, but I was literally adapting to cheaters. Until they solve the cheating issue I'll never go back to PVP, and if I had to guess I think more than 50% of players feel the same way.

I played abi for 48 hours now and I like it. Tarkov is to difficult for me, there are no instructions no tutorial nothing. For beginners it’s a big struggle, and I know you can search a lot of information on google but still. ABI has a bit of arcade feel to it bit it’s much easier to understand. Weapon customisation is a lot easier, and it tells you which parts can fit and which not. In tarkov this was a struggle, the game didn’t tell you anything. I prefer ABI over tarkov.

The only problem with that is, it doesn't matter to the player if the cheater gets banned within a day if they just run into another cheater the next day because the cheater just makes a new acc or gets replaced by another one. To them, they're still running into cheaters, and that's why people tend to think anti-cheats don't work. They work, they're still banning people quickly, but they don't entirely prevent people from getting through which ends up being the main issue. ABI's anti-cheat works way better than Tarkov's though, much better banning cheaters in a week than not banning cheaters that have been going on for multiple wipes.

@@Jazzyo7that is why, expensive games (which tarkov is) should use passports or national ID cards in order to make an account. Seems reasonable to me because they don’t share personal info with anyone. That way, you’d have to get another passport for another account.

@@tiffari8259 So yes, hardware bans are a thing on PC too, along with IP bans. The problem with that though is it's a lot easier to spoof your hardware and IP on PC, meaning it's very possible to bypass it. Not sure the ins and outs for mobile though, I just know it's possible on PC.

Yup I have 4k hours in tarkov and this is the first wipe I really don’t care about. I’m at the point all the homies don’t really struggle with quests anymore so the only thing that becomes increasingly annoying is the fun pvp no longer being legit 90% of the time

@@itsfirstgrade9046 considering the "wiggle that killed tarkov" video that G0at guy made, I'd genuinely say 30% *minimum* of players in Tarkov are cheating. Still a minority, but that is an insanely large amount compared to other FPS games. Think of all of the cheaters who ESP and just use it to run from PVP, or are really good at hiding it/don't care if they die with it. but I agree, 90% is egregious at best.

I can understand you on the quest I mean the quest or literally the same thing but you have to understand even though I don’t believe you don’t have 4K hours that most people don’t have 4K hours, most don’t even have a quarter of that many, so the amount of quest in this game are gonna be insanely hard to them. This game has 10 times the amount of quest than arena breakout, and it got an actual storyline compared to it, so if you’re gonna sit here and try to say it’s boring compared to arena breakout that’s wild because there’s 10 times the amount to do

You might not be getting rage-hacked on, but I quit 2 wipes ago bc every time I used a key room, it would be completely empty, or only have absolute garbage in it, while missing a majority of the spawns. How do you catch people who only use ESP to avoid PvP? How do you catch people who only cheat to absorb good loot, and RMT it? @nicoary3677 The ABI season is Bimonthly, so expect a new season in February, also, mid-season will have Beta Test recruitment to let people have a try on the new season for a limited time... Before each season ends, there will be lots of events as well that doubles rank, BP XP earning, and gaining koens

It could just be a case of those games dont have much of a reason to gain from cheating as this game does, and games are just new. Give them some time and you'll start hearing about cheaters again. BSG 100% could be doing way more about cheating, but combating cheating is a never ending race especially in these types of Server to Client type games. Tl;dr client tells server what it's doing, server validates it and then relays it to other clients. What things like say ESP is the client tricking the server into sharing the positions of the other players, or like speed hacks are the client tricking the server into believing the player is in fact moving at mac speed. Now pretend this, you have a cheater who is using a new cheat. It's painfully obvious he is cheating. Do you ban him right away? It depends. If you a ban the cheater right away, the cheat maker and figure out what exactly flagged the cheat and fix it. It' s why ban waves are more popular. Again. I think BSG are really dumb, but I do think people underestimate how difficult it is to fight cheaters

You cannot ban a tarkov cheater. That is the fundamental difference between most games. Tarkov is the only game Im aware of being able to actively change your game id & avoid buying a new account after a ban. BSG does not want cheaters & they are banning lots of cheaters. I’m not a tech or dev kind of guy so I can’t properly explain it but there are videos on it.

I reported 1 person in ABI and they were banned less than an hour later. ABI has a huge incentive to stop cheaters because the developers do not get paid unless people play the game due to it being free to play. If cheaters take over and everyone leaves, devs no longer make money.

There’s no point in playing ABI for anything other than PVP. If you can just buy anything and everything in the game with real money there’s no real risk/reward scenario to be had. I agree a working anti cheat is super awesome to have in any game but I gotta have something else to do other than just shooting people for XP I can do that in any other FPS

fully agree, I really liked ABI, but after 100 raids, I just realized I was getting money to kill players to get more money. it NEEDS some kind of progression, or I really don't see it ever getting popular. Delta Force nailed it, in my opinion. Lots of events, a second mode to play if you don't want to sweat in Tarkov-mode, and quests/hideout that is genuinely worth doing.

Arena breakout had a lot of cheaters last time I played. When I first tried it all my 12 raids I did had cheaters. And for tarkov, I play PvE and problem is solved xD

I'm not gonna lie to you, I can almost guarantee you at least 8 of those raids were better players who had insane pixel peeks or aim. I've definitely seen a lot of cheaters in ABI, but that's after 100+ raids. I've seen around 15 people who I thought were cheating, only 4 of which who were actually banned, which I genuinely trust ABI's judgement in saying I just got outplayed, no cheats involved.

tbf ive encountered 10+ confirmed cheaters on ABI. i don't think there is less, its just that they get banned when u report them. And 4 of them ive gotten since the compensation update and got my money back each time.

Classic based tony. BSG either unintentionally or intentionally monetized their game surrounding purchasing accounts. They are starting to dip into Micro transaction and cosmetics, which i know for most is disheartening. Mark my words, the day we have skins tied to our accounts is when we will see REAL anticheat progress. When bsg is making more money off of consistent playtime and players are motivated to actually play the game is the goal we should push to.

crazy thing is, this is genuinely known information, though seemingly only by a small minority. I forget who it was as it was probably a year ago since I watched the video, but someone made a video on the Moscow Game Convention that Nikita was speaking in, and Nikita literally admitted to wanting cheaters to "keep legit players uneasy" and to drive profits, as banned cheaters will incentivize legit players to buy advantages in game and, of course, cheaters will re-buy accounts. I really wish I knew the creator who made the video, as they made it shortly after "the wiggle that killed tarkov" video to piggyback on hype, but it was a genuinely well-made video that deconstructed the Moscow talk Nikita gave, that is all in Russian.

It takes time to create cheating software for a game. ABI is still pretty new, but give it some time and you'll start seeing cheaters. But probably not to the amount that Tarkov has. I agree that the devs are likely ignoring the cheating issue since cheating gets them much more money

I've gone from getting to lvl 45, to 39, to maxxing out at 15-22 before quitting for the rest of the wipe. it takes around 2 weeks to get to 22. this game is going to die after they release terminal, I'm sorry to tell you man.

I forget who it was as it was probably a year ago since I watched the video, but someone made a video on the Moscow Game Convention that Nikita was speaking in, and Nikita literally admitted to wanting cheaters to "keep legit players uneasy" and to drive profits, as banned cheaters will incentivize legit players to buy advantages in game and, of course, cheaters will re-buy accounts. I really wish I knew the creator who made the video, as they made it shortly after "the wiggle that killed tarkov" video to piggyback on hype, but it was a genuinely well-made video that deconstructed the Moscow talk Nikita gave, that is all in Russian.

Having played ABI a bunch, the gameplay is massively different. The game is essentially entirely based on the in game economy, there's very little progression, and there definitely isn't a reason to pick up the equivalent of what tarkov calls "barter items". The quest system is lackluster and completely unnecessary for progression. I have also seen a good few cheaters in my time playing (the tencent anticheat is by no means a savior). ABI is like EFT if you took everything away besides the traders/flea market, and slapped on bad gunplay/the gist of a looter extraction shooter. ABI to EFT is like COD to Battlefield.

Everybody who compares cod and battlefield always think about the peak of battlefield - BF3,4 and 1, but I will be honest, imho, BF fell off hard after BF1. V was a disaster that got pretty good with Pacific war update but then they cut the life support. And 2042 was exactly same. Released in a terrible state, gotten good over the time and patches.. and then life support was cut.

ABI basically removes a lot of the motivations to cheat compared to games like Tarkov. ABI created a game environment where cheating is not worth it. Given that ABI doesn't wipe and sells gear for $$, the people that cheat in ABI will only do it if they enjoy the literal action of cheating. Since cheats that work cost money, if you are after gear, it's better to just buy it than buy the cheat and having to play for it lmao. I don't like MTX in games, but I dislike cheats much more.

Tarkov won't die anytime soon but it is certainly past its prime and is on nothing but a decline. Cheaters are rampant and 1.0 is "around the corner" despite the game still being so fucking janky with trash netcode. The young bucks are nipping on its heels. ABI has actual anti-cheat, so many qol features people have been hounding Nikita about for years yet he refuses to implement, and doesn't make you wait forever to get into a match. Gray Zone has improved its AI more in the past 3 weeks than Tarkov has in the past 5 years, has great graphics while having a far better health system and overall milsim feel, and is imo two or three good updates away from being a truly special game. Even Delta Force, which is my least favorite of the 4, is still more fun to just hop on and fuck around in for a while than Tarkov is. Then you got stuff like Arc Raiders and whatever else is in the mix being worked on that we don't know about. All the while Nikita will keep his head in the sand and only pop up once he realizes nobody is left is but the cheaters, rats, and scav mains.

Hardware banning does nothing when Tarkov cheaters profit off of cheating in Tarkov more than any other FPS game. People can spoof HWIDS or run virtual machines, completely negating the hardware ban. And with how incredibly-unlikely it is to be banned for cheating in Tarkov, I doubt being banned is much of a deterrent, unlike these newer F2P games that ban cheating players within a week of being reported. There are streamers in Tarkov that STILL aren't banned, who are confirmed cheaters, like Suddenly_Toast TV.

I guess everyone is different, but the spyware debate genuinely seems like a rumour to slander ACE anticheat at this point. I haven't noticed anything different with my PC, CPU or RAM usage, and I've had no issues playing Valorant, Rust or Rainbow Six. I'm like 90% sure you're just parroting an argument without knowing for yourself.

The economy is horrible and you can make money doing nothing. Sure, you could technically use ESP or some cheats to tell your friend where loot or enemies are, but you can't RMT

MTX was literally the biggest money-maker in ABI for the devs. it's the reason the game is still around. you can hatchet-run until you can buy good ammo, load 1-2 rounds of that ammo into a mosin, and 1 tap the best armour in the game. people just don't want to have to actually be good at a game, they want what Tarkov gives you, unfair advantages in exchange for egregious amounts of time and money.
