I'm Team Abi as well, but I'm not sure she wins this. If you parse the 'Top Three' vote, Abi picks up very little from either Tristan's or Emmy's support. Most of that will split three ways: Will gets most of the Tristan vote, Jack gets most of the Emmy vote, and some just get mad and stay home because their favorite didn't get sent through. Do any of you see Tristan's fan base flipping their support to Abi? Ryan has been telling us all season long how 'close' the vote is. If this is true, and if Jack and Will both get an infusion of fresh votes at the end, then how does Abi win? Only if she had a substantial lead in the first place. Which may be the case. Maybe what Ryan meant was, the vote was close between second and third place...

Abi’s parents got divorced. Abi had to drop out of school and work full time to support the family while her Mom went to college. The story is sad enough, but she hasn’t been milking it for votes because Abi can Actually Sing.

Arrangement was terrible, Chris changed the chord progression during the verses and it was awful, Abi sounded good anyway...why in the world do you mess with THIS song... Listen to the wind blow, opening chord is correct, the next 2 are altered, ruined the song...Abi held it together and shined anyway

Singing a song and tearing into a song are two different things. I don't believe that any of these contestants can tear into a song like Beth Hart can. If it was 1993 and they were put up against Beth Hart on Star Search, they would lose. Beth hart isn't the only one that can tear into a song, but she does have the most body of work where she has.

@@orlock20 You have a very narrow view. This isn't the Beth Hart show. It's American Idol - a talent show to help new artists emerge onto the music scene. You can't compare Hart, a 52 year old woman who's been in the business a long time, and has many years of honing her craft under her belt, to a young girl who is just getting started with her music career. Check back in 10 years and I bet Abi Carter will be a more seasoned performer. She's already shown tremendous growth and potential in a few short weeks since her audition and has risen to every challenge they've given her. Beth had to start somewhere in the beginning. Give the kid a break... Abi is FANTASTIC and mega talented in her own right.
