I followed this recipe to the dot. This has to be the best chicken biriyani I have ever had(was most definitely for my wife) and the best biriyani that I have ever made. Thanks for introducing me to this recipe. Being from Kannur I really miss eating this kind of biriyani. It used to be common when I was a kid and back then biriyani was only served during Muslim weddings (Hindus even on the day before the wedding served neychor and varutharacha chicken curry and sadya on the wedding day). As biriyani became more popular and a cheaper option, people also started looking at ways to easily put some meat, rice and masala together, which no longer has the taste of the real thalassery biriyani. Anyway, I'm going to make this for my friends and family and make sure this recipe reaches more people and generations to come. Love!!!

I've lived in border regions of South and really really loved Malabar biryani. Whenever I go towards the Malabar coast it's a must to have Malabari biryani but I wasn't sure of the recipe. Whenever I go out to eat Malabar biryani is my number one on my order list. Wow..a recipe well explained..had a good time listening to u A small suggestion from my side would be to the cameraman.Pls take good shots of the food as well bcz inside of the vessel was shown a bit less.So how the texture of the rice and level of water before the flame was switched off got missed a bit fast.pls consider it in the coming videos😊
