I found the song accidentally the other day, ( Mayne not!) it is just what I needed! It has brought me so much comfort that when I listen to it I am sobbing like a baby! Even the sound at the beginning where the violin is quivering, is the holy spirit quivering in my soul! I have never felt so loved and safe and comforters in my entire life God's love for us is absolutely overwhelming and I'm so happy that he includes me as part of his family! Eternally grateful to Jesus he is so amazing! For the last 2 weeks I've been spending the first hour of the morning with the Lord and the last hour at night before I go to sleep. This has just been so awesome to do this. I wish I would have done it sooner. It seemed like there were so many other things that took preference but not anymore because nothing is more important to me than my relationship with the Lord. I saw a sign the other day that said that we say we want to spend eternity with the Lord, but we don't want to spend time with him here. Thank you Lord for allowing me to spend time with you everyday.

I just heard this song for the first time this week..We were homeless, staying in a hotel for 15 months, and then when the time came that God opened the door for our home..I was in complete and total awe. To this day, I still can’t believe it. My heart is overwhelmed. As we were in the hotel, everyday was literally as if we were in the fire, getting purified, refined, stripped of old selves..it was a constant battle. This song, literally every word is exactly what I would pray absolutely every day. I cried a whole lot!!! I struggle with knowing that we do deserve our home, and that the light at the end of the tunnel is truly Jesus Christ. I know for a fact that without Him, I am a nobody. I cannot be without Him. Jesus is the Lord of Lord and King of kings, He is who I have learned to depend on for all my life.

I just heard this song two days ago while waiting in the hospital's waiting room, my 11 years old son was having surgery. It was so powerful and comforting listening this song during the hardest time of my life. I played it over and over until the end of the surgery whne the doctor came to tell us our son was stable and the success of the surgery even though it was a high risk procedure. The lord performed a miracle in our son’s life. Thank you Jesus

I'm not intending to tear down or criticize with my thoughts. There is a place and time in our lives to DEPEND on God. Holy Spirit teaches us and reveals the things of God to us. We move from dependence to ABIDING in and finding our security in GOD. As we find our place of abiding, we/I find my worship of God to then be growing and maturing. It's not that we ever lose being dependent on God's help and provision, but it's a growing out of dependency and into maturity. I love the song and the picture it paints. I also love the picture of abiding with God. With Christ. To me, it's a deeper place, a more intimate place. A place of having beautiful relationship and encounters with Jesus. ❤

Beautiful song... ❤ but... something I am beginning to notice more and more... is ... He could be singing this to his wife. Yes, if you read the scriptures you know to whom he sings, but for someone who doesn't know the scriptures, NOT till the end, and even then, only ONCE does he mention the LORD. It could so easily be interjected at the end of the "I depend on YOU,(YESHUA)". "Yeshua, teach us to abide"But still... beautiful, and my prayer. ❤❤❤

I first heard this song when looking for a song for the month. Wow, what a message of truth with melody and rhythms that flow so beautifully. At the same time I was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. This Sept I will have my bladder removed.

The Lord gave me this song as well, a couple of weeks ago when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. As I had my surgery to remove the cancerous portion of my colon, and as I face my chemo treatments, I listen to this song over and over for strength, comfort and joy. The Joy of the Lord is my strength. We have this in common. We also have the peace that passes all understanding in Christ.

We must give up our rights and surrender in order to abide. It's a hard lesson learned. Jesus surrendered his right to be God when he became man, he gave up all his rights to abide with the fathers will.

I live in pain 24/7/365 w over a dozen chronic illnesses n it can be hard esp at night. But this song is such a blessing n a great reminder of all God gives us!!
