This has to be my favorite hymn, no doubt at all about that. The perfect hymn to be sung at a funeral to say farewell to a loved one, who is given the most moving send off possible. And whether you are religious or not, it is absolutely beautiful and moves you to tears. Before very long now, I shall attend a funeral in which I fervently hope this hymn will be played, in thanks and memory to someone I have known all my life.

I learned from my grandparents the reason we don’t use a ton of instruments all the the is not everyone feels like they can sing and they can’t use their own voice which is the point of worship so we learned how to harmonize the whole congregation and chorus at schooo so you can “ cover “ anyone who hates their own voice!
