Great review but what you said about the end, i think you didn't understand what the movie was trying to portrait. Abigail is so lonely. Her father doesn't care about her anymore. And then there is Joey. She is nice to Abigail and she is also a mom that isn't there for her child but she wants to change it so badly. This is what attracts Abigail to her. She never really wanted to kill Joey, but she wanted to show her her true self. What most reviewers didn't get is the last part when Joey leaves and the last thing Abigail says to her is "see you real soon". It's not over. Abigail wants to be friends with Joey. On what level is not clear. Does she want to turn her and her son, so she's got a mom and a brother? Or does she just want to be friends? Or play with her food for a little longer? This is the beauty about this movie. It's over but you keep thinking what's going to happen next. You totally missed that and them killing each other would have left the movie without any magic and made it stupid.

@@TheMovieApprentice I thought some supernatural things might happen after hearing about valdez but mostly she was toying with them psychologically had no idea she was a vampire that caught me off guard and I loved it!

Same. Knew it was something about being trapped with vampires but that was all. People keep saying there was no way to market it without giving away the reveal which is just ridiculous, they could have implied that Abigail was a potential victim too. Instead they give away nearly the whole film thanks to an incompetent marketing group.
