Thank you for your invaluable support. I've been on psyc drugs for 20 years and half way coming off them. My psychiatrist told me years ago I'd never get off my meds and my paranoia would increase the older I get. But it's been the complete opposite. So good people can get real help and advice these days. Your work is a blessing to many!!!

Abilify withdrawal can have a physical pain component to it as it impacts the peptide relaxin which impacts virtually every organ in the body and can cause fibrosis. In 2012 a patent was applied for for Abilify as an analgesic. It annethesizes the body while your on it. I suffered chronic pain for 6 years after I went through 3 terrible withdrawals. I was on Abilify for 7 years and went into early menopause. It is a very dangerous and damaging drug.

Psych ward gives these out like candy…. It’s a fix all… hell no it’s not. 10mg maybe 15 had me pacing and ended up in the ER to get Parkinson’s meds to help that side effect. When this injection wears off I hope to stay off psych drugs please God I don’t want them. I don’t want to pace. I don’t like feeling unsettled. How can I work like this. How is this legal.

My son has been on the Abilify injections 400mg for over a year. He changed psychiatrist and his new one actually listened to him and agreed it wasn’t working. So she decided not to give him his monthly dose and instead started him on oral Haldol 5mg. Also took him off klonopine and started him on Ativan .5mg. This all happened 6/10/24. It has now been one week and it’s been the week from hell! He was due for his Abilify injection today. All his symptoms are elevated! Shouldn’t she have tapered him off instead of quitting cold turkey and adding a different antipsychotic? I can only imagine that all the chemicals in his brain are just going haywire! My heart hurts for him! 😢

I smoked marijuana everyday for 3 years(high thc strains) , 3 years later started hallucinating, and a year after that was prescribed antipsychotics. 9 years later I’m on Abilify and I’ve gained 120 lbs when I’m only 4’11”. I’m only on 2 mg but when I tried cutting it in half , psychotic symptoms come back, worse hallucinations than when I first got sick. @@Brandon-dk9sn It has a high receptor occupancy at even snall doses, so yes, it does still block dopamine, up to 58% at 1 mg, 81% at 2mg which is pretty shocking.
