Yup. I used to have over 50 bags. Sold about half of them. Now I am buying more. Of course, I have this exact bag. The multicam black suckered me in. The first such bag I have of that color. As beautiful as the bag looks, I just have felt disappointed with the size. It doesn’t truly feel like a 30L. I can fit more in a Bellroy 28L. And the GoRuck 26L is about the same size and it has a divider. I think too many bags use different methods to “measure” the size by liters. There needs to be an ISO standard for measuring these bags across all companies. The Evergoods 28L feels bigger than the Able Carry Max also. I usually can do some seriously minimal travel, but I struggle for any more than a weekend with the Able Carry Max. Whereas with the GoRuck 34L or Evergoods/Bellroy 28L bags can easily be week+ bags. But as far as looks go, the Able Carry Max in multicam black sure does look great for a glorified daily carry/weekend bag. What’s your favorite bag for bug out? Long-term travel? Weekender? Daily carry? GoRuck GR2 34L Evergoods CTB35 Bellroy Transit Bag 28L Able Carry Max 30L That’s my list. Have a great weekend everyone.

I think the 30L was pretty close. I feel like it packed out somewhere between the two GR2 sizes as predicted. The divider in the GR2s always throws me off when it comes to the amount I can packed. I prefer the large single space for stuff generally speaking. I agree though that a standard for volume would be awesome...too many times I find a bag doesn't match its size spec in terms of volume. To answer your questions...right now I'd say: Bug-Out: GR2 Shooter 34L Slick Long-Term Travel: Kaidan GR2 + Kit Bag...or GR1 26L Heritage + Heritage Kit Bag Weekender: Able Carry Max EDC: GR1 Heritage 21L/EG PLC20/Trakke Bairn (so many awesome choices)

@@JBOutside1 Good list of bags there. A true GoRuck faithful. Haha. I traveled over 25 countries with a GR2 40L. For me, that bag was awesome but just a little too big. That’s why I ended up getting the 34L GR2 recently. It’s hard core and super protective of my laptop. I also have never really got anything wet in a GoRuck thanks to the zippers having lips that cover the zips. My Bellroy Transit and Transit Plus have the YKK aqua guard, and the zippers just don’t feel as nice as the big hefty ones on Go Rucks. Love the videos. I am a bag junky. I used to buy a new bag for every world trip. I would leave my work bag with laptop and a garment bag with suits in my condo in Tokyo… then travel with just my fun travel gear on weekends and on the way from and to the USA hitting different parts of the world. One thing while wearing the GoRuck, with my Latin “come and take it” patch and all black out. Nobody ever screwed with me. Feel like a badass every time I carry GoRuck bags. Security and law enforcement always treat with super respect when carrying GoRuck bags also. Anyways. Enjoy the weekend. Looking forward to a video of a bag I don’t have!!! Cheers.

Great Review, as always. Great they made it in Multicam Black (not available anymore though). Compared to the GR2, many turn off for me. The ovalish shape being one. Then, X-Pac fabric and the Aquaguard zippers don't age well (X-Pac doesn't look so great after being abrased and the Aquaguard zippers are known to delaminate). But their choice of colors (especially inside) is awesome.

I plan to keep this bag for a long term review so I hope to be able to verify some of your points. The oval shape was initially a turnoff too as most of my arsenal is GORUCK shaped. It’s grown on me though and the features are unique enough for me to want to travel with it for a while to see how it ages. Thanks for the commend Ivan!!

20.5” tall so yes it should fit no problem

With so many great bags available on the market it’s really hard and expensive to test every single bag. My wife is my witness….😉 I have tried Able Cary Max it’s a great bag with great tech organizer, good craftsmanship and good back ventilation - but not as universal as I expected to be. May be version 2 in the future. When side pockets used it will eat allot of space from the main compartment. For 30L bag it will be nice to have load lifters and optional hip belt for the time when bag is loaded and heavy. Other great bags: Goruck GR1 21L as EDC and for larger EDC or One Bag travel - GR2 in 26L or 34L or 40L generally are good multipurpose bag. Yes - in 1000d is on a heavy side, 500d slightly lighter, but when more space needed it’s easy to add any molle compatible pouches from any brand to outside of the pack. Goruck examples - Echo Field Pocket, GR1 Field Pocket or GR2 Field Pocket or up to Two (2) side pockets or Full Panel Water Bottle Pocket Also can be paired with - Goruck Bullet 15L or 10L version or Goruck Kit Bag 32L Goruck recently came out with a new Tactical FP1 Hip Pack / Sling unfortunately cannot recommended it. Not my cup of tea plus looks like old Fanny pack. The Brown Buffalo Conceal 21L - Ballistic Nylon (Will it fit more than any other 21L bag) when more space needed it’s easy to add to the outside up to Two (2) Porterpen Case - STORMPROOF 1L Conceal 30L - Ballistic Nylon (Will it fit more than any other 30L bag) when more space needed it’s easy to add to the outside up to Two (2) Porterpen Case - STORMPROOF 1L. Will be nice to have optional hip belt for the time when bag is loaded and heavy. Standard Duffel Bag 46L - Ballistic Nylon Conceal Sling 3L - Ballistic Nylon can be paired with any bag Lighter Bags for minimal travel Minaal CARRY-ON 3.0 BAG 35L paired with Minaal DAILY 3.0 BAG 21L and /or any other lighter sling Pacsafe Vibe 325 10L or Pacsafe Vibe 150 2.5L or sling / Hip Pack Pacsafe Vibe 100 4.5L. Next on a list to try: Travel Pack 3 35L and Travel Pack 3 small 28L

Originally was looking to replace my GR1 21L with Concealer 19L but then Concealer 21L came out with all upgrades, now when I own 21L it feels too tall or to big as EDC sometimes. I’m thinking to ask TBB make a customer order of Concealer 19L same as current generation in 21L with Apex 3D spacer-mesh on the backside, inside Fluorescent Orange RVX25 and Reverse YKK coil zipper and delete luggage sleeve on the backside for travel. 🤞🏻 TBB MOD’s are good edition: MOD003 is most useful can be used on the front or the back compartment. MOD002 - is nice but still debating as how useful it will be. Laptop Sleeve - is nice but still debating on selling it. I carry my laptop inside the hard Thule Sleeve or Matador Laptop Base Layer that is a padded, waterproof, can be adjusted fit laptops 13-16 inches. Standard Duffel Bag 46L - Ballistic Nylon is older version of TBB at this point only available as second hand. Was lucky to purchase one. It’s simple duffel similar to GR kit bag 32L juts 12L bigger with Stormprove Bottom. Conceal Sling 3L - Ballistic Nylon also older version of TBB: only available as second hand. - solid front pocket - current model has a see-through mash with 3m reflective on the inside of the pocket. - Inside 500D Green Multicam Cordura with vector compatible with MOD001 for more organization

@@ZBB8 good stuff. Yeah the MODs are required to totally make the Conceals useful for whatever mode you’re in. I like them for A19 bags as well. Really a universal addition. I also use them in my GORUCK “shooter” bags…that I never load up tactically it seems.

@@JBOutside1 good point. May have to try alpha one niner. Was looking to get GR2 Shooter 34L 1000D (Velcro + Webbing) but the weight of it is a turn off. May be when GR will have 500D version with Velcro + Webbing. Better yet GR1 21L 500D or GR2 26L 500D. After my last business trip I realized that GR 26L in 1000d 2022 version is to heavy when loaded. What do you think a about 500D bags in Goruck linkup?

@@ZBB8 I am a big fan of all the 500D GORUCK bags. I have the Shooter 34L GR2, 26L GR2, and Rucker 20L all in the 500D and they're all great. I prefer that weight of fabric now.

Yes. It's 20.5" tall and the typical max height for airlines is 22"
