Able - Warriors OC PMV

that awkward moment when you dream of murdering your mentor 😳
If you've seen my other video about my OCs, Johnny, you might recognize these characters! In this one, its just a day in the life of Mudpaw, with all the frustrations that accompany him.
I've had this idea in my head for a few months now, but only just recently got the time to work on it! I had the color palettes planned out since December haha

Mudpaw baby! MAN I was fully believing he was going to kill him fr- I love how the mentor is standing with the birds - something something the feeling that Mud is seeing them as a bird, something to take out his frustrations on/seeing him a bird also dehumanizing his mentor (or de-catifying?) And the contrast with the pallets and styles really brought the "waking up from a dream" idea to life omg

The bird motif ended up becoming a LOT more prominent than I initially planned in the first version of the story haha. In the next animatic I’m planning, they show up a bit more! Your interpretation of their meaning is pretty spot on :D once again, thank you for sharing you thoughts!! It means so much to me!!

Something ive been wondering for a bit. Is the mentor blind, or is the lack of pupils on him a stylistic choice? Since him being pupilless has showed up in both pmvs whilst the other characters have pupils.

Hey! This is really cool and I was wondering how you got the color pallet for it!

Thanks!! I picked out the colors myself, which means I basically just picked a few colors that I thought looked nice together and kept altering them slightly until I had a palette that I thought fit the vibe of the video haha I chose warmer colors for the first part (day) and cooler colors for the second part (night). I also specifically made mudpaw _slightly_ off in those colors; in the first part I gave him a slightly cooler green than his surroundings, and in the second part I made him a warmer purple, so that he would contrast with everything else :P
