Damn. Automating the step divider on and off for the gaps... What an excellent idea. Simple, and really effective. It sounds really fluid, and has just enough unpredictability to it. Nice work. I really enjoy watching your channel, it's fun and interesting, and bullshit free. No long rants about what you did last Tuesday, or that your cat chewed your armchair, or whatever usual youtube crap. Just straight down to business. Cheers.

Probability is fun to experiment with. These remind me of the Drum Sequencer or other extensions in Reason. They also has some nice probability settings. Those were some sweet patterns you made!
@abulka2 жыл бұрын
There didn't seem to be a way to edit patterns in the step divider by re-saving them. Turns out what you can do is click on the pattern cell (which populates the sequencer grid) then option click on the same pattern cell to delete the current pattern (which thankfully does not clear its notes from the sequencer grid), edit your notes then shift click on the same pattern cell to save the modified sequence. Using this technique you can even 'move' and re-arrange the order of pattern cells by saving into temporary pattern cell locations as you shuffle things around.

@Slynk6 жыл бұрын
Well, this shouldn't be hard at all. So I'm assuming you're using a drum rack after the probability drum sequencer. You can simply put a compressor on your bass and then in the sidechain options, select the channel with the sequencer and drum rack on it. Then in the second selection box, choose the cell inside the drum rack that contains your kick. Boom. Bass sidechainer to the kick.

Generated music does not have a feeling. Music is about communication. An algorithm doesn't have any expression due to lack of a soul. The art of the algorithm comes from a programmer. So everything this algorithm expresses is what the author felt like. Maybe you should think about what life is about. Pt your priorities. If you want. Put the head above the soul. But you will fail. The head is great. But don't mean nothing at all compared to all other wonders of life. Mere mortals cannot understand THE GIFT.
