I hired Underbelly for some private, online mixing lessons. Well worth it. He has you record the sessions so you can go back and watch again later; which is a fantastic help.

This guy is a beast. I do such at producing so I keep an eye on him to help sharpen up my game. His knowledge of Live in incredible, he hooked up the bass, then laced it with a cool little melody. So many songs within that song. I like his work.

The first section of this video is literally what I needed to know for my first few years of production. I tried searching the internet to find out the 'function' of each drum instrument but never found any answers, so I just had to figure it out by trial and error. I wish someone could have explained to me how each drum/instrument type affects the track as you did in this video.
