Last tip I forgot to mention. Your master is not finished at this point. You will need to listen back and automate accordingly to make sure your master still translates ;)
@garrettspies8970
@garrettspies8970 3 жыл бұрын
how would you go about "automating accordingly?" Do you use multiple presets and cue them on the time line? Last one: do some songs need fewer/more persets?
@Catandbeats
@Catandbeats 3 жыл бұрын
@@garrettspies8970 Great question. What I mean is not presets but you automation eq bands for instance or the limiter itself. Generally speaking just giving a little bump for the drop is very nice to do. Things of this nature. If you are interested in this kind of stuff check my channel and the mixing series there

Fucking hell this tune is such a banger. It's really refreshing watching a tutorial where I actually want to keep listening to the track repeated. Normally the tunes mastered in tutorials are awful and it's such a struggle to have to listen to that crap over and over as stuff gets explained. Great video. Excellent charisma.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is a great explanation of how to learn the fundamentals mainly using already installed tools. I like this practice because it helps to understand other 3rd party tools down the line. I watched this once and then implemented this on one of my songs and I definitely can notice the difference between the mix down, premaster, and master versions. Thanks again!
