I've listened to thousands of his speeches but I think this is his best speech of all. It's quite eye opening, how we claim to be Christians but don't even read the bible, how child baptism is less biblical, how the bible is used to justify both evil and good doing. This man's knowledge is just incredible, I wonder how his brain has the ability to remember all those information at once. It's even more stunning that in all his speeches, he never has a presentation on paper. This man just demonstrates how intelligent Africans can be.

Very true. It's so sad that nowadays we use the Bible as a weapon rather than as means of drawing closer to God. The Bible is meant to help us and not to be used and misused by us.

I'm surely glad I got to listen to this, I question things, I'm a why person! The Bible does not justify most of the things done in the name of GOD and these actions are unquestionable because of the clergy - laity division or the "touch not not my anointed." Church are really not accountable to anyone!

Very good, that has changed? So how far has the Gid of the Scriptures that don't change changed? This helps us yo know how far man is from the reality of what he once knew of ehat the truth means. Once man becomes a liar, lies about himself and about his creator, so let us pay a lot of attention on the air we breath in and out. The Bible does not change.

It is very true whst Prof P. Lumumba says, if Baptism is the Sacrament that takes a way the Iriginal Sin declined to through Adam, so it is the Sacrament that each adult must hsndle in respondibility becsuse of vigiling sgainst ehat can deprive ftom bding a child of Gid when hr made me his Child through the abiding of Baptism, which myself have the right Cinscirnce of accepying that Sacrament. Therefore did my parrnts firce me to become a Christisn by pinning me into zn infance Baptism? Is that why a person becomes un relsxed to practice his faith.

In the opinion of this commenter, Prof. PLO Lumumba is very good at delivering insightful speeches to spellbound audiences throughout Africa and the rest of the world. Without a doubt, his address which is captioned on KZbin as “Prof. PLO Lumumba Greatest Speech That Got Nigerian Leaders Crying in Public” is indeed a classic. However, as a wholeheartedly committed RASTAFARIAN, I will not hesitate to say that his Achilles heels are his willingness and determination to find some kind of accommodation in which Christianity could become “a badge of honor”, and his tongue-tied refusal to ever recognize the critical role which His Imperial Majesty (HIM) Emperor Haile Selassie I has played in the effort for AFRICAN UNITY and the wellbeing of all Africans - “WHEREVER WE MAY BE”. In all of his speeches, Brother Lumumba keeps asking the question as to what is the fundamental cause for the apparent backwardness of the AFRICAN PEOPLE. But like so many of his predecessors, the Professor has himself answered that question over and over again. And each and every time the simple answer is the continued enslavement of the African (BLACK people’s) minds. The problem with confronting the truth of this discovery is that most, if not all, of our leaders are reluctant and afraid to accept that the plight of Black people was engineered through cleverly nuanced campaigns by Europeans, Arabs, and other intruders who used their religions as the primary weapons in the subjugation, enslavement, and colonization of the African continent and its peoples. In the case of the Europeans, Christianity was again called into service in the same way as it had served Roman Emperors like Constantine of Constantinople and was unleashed on the bodies, minds, and spirits of the African people with a kind of ferocity that may be compared only to that of COVID-19. The enduring effects of such kinds of traumatic conditioning have been so effective that even educated AFRICANS like Prof. Lumumba, and the Rt. Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey are unable to see the light. As the manual for the belief system called Christianity, the “Holy Bible” has been so cleverly compiled that very few people seem to have the gall of the French philosopher Voltaire to openly question its purpose. And yet everyone who has taken the time to peruse the Bible knows that it is not just a failed attempt at “putting old wine in new bottles” but more a case of trying to store wine in broken bottles. Meanwhile, it is common knowledge that the Old Testament or “THE BOOKS OF THE PROPHETS” were written by multiple Jewish mystics who chose to chronicle their spiritual or religious quests. Even so, it cannot escape attention that most of their accounts, as Prof. Lumumba observes, are focused on wars of aggression in which their “god” drives them to plunder and seize the lands of other nations. Needless to say, such a model does not offer much prospect for peace and prosperity on Mother Earth. On the other hand, most of the books of the New Testament were written by a former Roman operative and megalomaniac named Saul of Tarsus (aka “Apostle Paul”) who had never met the Jewish leader called Jesus but who misappropriated the mission and message of the Jesus under the banner of Christianity after he had fallen out of favor with the Roman authorities. With the whole book now put together under the title of “THE WORD OF GOD”, most people find themselves gripped by a palpable and stultifying fear whenever the system comes into question. The venom which has been and is still used in the enslavement of the AFRICAN PEOPLE is, therefore, very powerful. But just as the most effective cure for any ailment is an ANTIDOTE derived from the same source, the only possible avenue through which BLACK people’s minds could be truly emancipated from the scourges of Christianity would be the adoption of a Belief System ("LIVITY") that exceeds the former potency. And this new modality is exactly what the fledgling Rastafarian Movement or the Philosophy of RASTAFARI, as derived through an enlightened dialectical synthesis of the lives and teachings of Prophet Marcus and HIM, is currently offering to the AFRICAN PEOPLE and the rest of humanity. And so. ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
