Forza Horizon 5 is a racing game developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. It will be the fifth Forza Horizon title and twelfth main instalment in the Forza series. The game is set in a fictionalised representation of Mexico. It is set to be released on 9 November 2021 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
Forza Horizon 5 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in Mexico. The game has the largest map in the entire Forza Horizon series, being 50% larger than Forza Horizon 4. The map was described by creative director Mike Brown as one of the most diverse Forza Horizon maps the team has built.
The map in Forza Horizon 5 contains areas like an active caldera volcano, jungles and beaches, ancient Mayan temples, and cities such as Guanajuato. Players can explore the open world freely, though they can also compete in multiplayer races and complete the campaign mode. Both the cars featured in the game and the player character can be extensively customised. The game is the first in the franchise to support ray tracing on cars (although this is only available in ForzaVista).

Electric cars could have gears, but the weight of a whole transmission doesn't justify the power gains for general use. Electric engines have high torque at low rpm's, differently from ICE's

Yeah same mine doesn't go beyond 930m I've tried many different tunes. Since Fh5 have patched jesko it's top speed has also been reduced. All my friends have 502kmph clocked in speed traps and mine only goes 492 :(

Its very stupid but the game stops simulating down force if all four wheels aren't touching the ground, as soon as any car leaves a danger jump its entirely up to the speed you jumped at and how much the car weighs, every other variable is flushed down the shitter passed that point

​@@chuggingtar well, technically in real life it isnt much different. The diffusers, spoilers and ground effect only really work if there is no air pressure under the car to push it up. As soon as air pressure builds under the cars floor, all aero aids coming from above take little to no effect. The subfloor of these cars are very flat and flush, as soon as the wheels leave the ground, this flat floor belly acts pretty much like an "air ramp", and the pressure under the car will be so high, that even if the car has the biggest rear spoiler in the world, it will still fly like cardboard. Look at the crash from the CLK GTR in LeMans in the 90s. As soon as a bit of air found its way under that car, it flew like a piece of paper

@@Driftuner looks like someone failed aerodynamics class. the clk\mark webber crash didn't happen because the aero on the car stopped working. the crash happened because there was an imbalance of the cars aero top to bottom and front to back. So, in effect the front of the car was generating less downforce than the back and the wings were generating more downforce than the floor. this allowed air to get under the car which lifted the front, this in turn flipped the car but it was moving so fast that once it was upside down the wings started generating lift, like a plane's wing and THAT was what made that crash so bad.

I think they got the Regera wrong: one of the headline traits of that car was the LACK of a traditional transmission with the engine instead directly coupled to the wheels past a certain speed or torque converter lockup param.

And this my friends is a list of the worst Aero-cars in Forza. The longer the flight, the worse the aerodynamics. Remember, good aero means *LOTS* of down force. All these cars doing 180 MPH and flying forever, have absolute garbage aero. Why do so many “hyper cars” have aero that create uplift instead of downforce?
